"I was with a recent transplant who been living in Portland was just over a year and I asked them what the most Portland restaurant they could think of and this is what they thought of. He gave me a good heads up, don’t expect amazing hipster whatever boujie diner food, but get ready for greasy, good pub food at a place that stays up late and with that in mind this place met all my standards. The inside was clean but dated but that adds to the charm of the place. Tons of old photos and random things are on their walls to keep those with ADD busy, the booze is a cheap along with the food and it’s open late. They do have healthier options as I got my grilled cheese sandwich with soup instead of fries and it was delicious. Wasn’t spectacular or super unique but it was good, the atmosphere great and it felt like a Portland spot. This place is where your father went if he was a hard worker who needed some cheap eats and booze after work. I was happy with it, food met my expectations for a dive and I he atmosphere and service when I was there was great which is really why you’d want to come here. This place is definitely what I imagined Portland would be and I enjoyed my food and Beer there"
"Solid diner food served by friendly and attentive staff. The kind of old-school place where your coffee or water never run dry and you’re not left hanging like so many restaurants do these days. Chill crowd as well and a fun place to people watch. I recommend the O’Bryan potatoes of you go."
"Probably my favorite bar I've ever been to. Was in town for a concert and went here after with a friend. The Chili Cheese Fries were absolutely everything I wanted, the drinks were great and most importantly the ambiance and vibes were immaculate. Plus they have slot machines and games and stuff. Also the bartender who works Sundays is awesome! Definitely gonna come back when I'm in town!"
"I give this place 4 stars but my bf gives it 5 stars, so I'll average and round up. We were going to Rinella Produce and wanted to grab brunch before we picked up our groceries. Saw that this place was nearby with a lot of high reviews so decided to check it out. Prices were more than fair, portions were huge, in a dark lit setting with no minors allows coupled with great attentive service - this place easily stole our hearts. It's unappealing on the outside but pretty big on the inside. It has slots, pinball machine, and pool tables. I had the rib eye and eggs with O'Briens. My bf had the corn beef and hash and his dish was packed with so much flavor and good chunk of the corned beef. The biscuits was recommended and it literally is so soft and melts in your mouth. My bf ended up getting their day drink cocktail and his drink was strong (in a very good way of course). Parking is easy to find, not sure if it it'd be as easy in the evening. This felt like a hole in the wall and we enjoyed it so much. Just our type of atmosphere. Extensive brunch menu. Will definitely be back."
