"I’m giving these guys a five star review because as someone who used to own a business and reading through some of these other reviews that are one star and totally undeserving, I especially laughed out loud at the ones where you could tell they didn’t even get any work done here, and still seemed it fit to give a one star review as well as the people who said their car got broken into after hours as that was the businesses responsibility. I’m not sure if anyone’s paying attention when they park in any parking lot anywhere but they all have a sign that says park at your own risk. It is not the business owner fault that this is a risky area to do business, and if he wasn’t doing business here you’d be stuck with four wheel parts, and if you want to talk about a business that deserves the one star review head over to 4WP…. Anyways, so far I have not done a lot of business here I was having an issue with my clutch slipping in a 2019 jeep JLU sport John recommended a Centerforce clutch and I was already leaning that way so I decided to have him install the parts. That was about a month ago and since then I’ve had issues with what our best guess is the master cylinder where the clutch will not disengage the engine in the transmission properly so I get stuck in first or second gear sometimes reverse and it’s a real problem especially at a green light if I am chilling in neutral and then go to try and put it into first gear and I’m locked out until I turn off the engine put it into first gear and then restart the engine and pop the clutch or sometimes just let off the break and that’s enough to get it moving not ideal not done either. It has been a slow and somewhat tedious process and I am leaving a review now because I am 100% confident that John and his team will get this sorted out in the near future part of the reason for the delay is they went on vacation, no need to be upset about that. It seems like these guys are so overworked. They need a vacation. I will say the only issue that I’ve been having is that I would like to have had this work done much more quickly however, when I compare that to my experience at a dealer or at four wheel parts, or many other shops that I have been to. I would rather deal with person who is straightforward and gonna just tell you how it is and what’s going on instead of a Shell game where no one is responsible and you take your problems on the road with you.."
"This shop did a killer job with the alignment on my '99 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). My brother and I replaced the suspension and almost all of the steering, and then we had a rear track bar bracket break off the frame which needed to be welded back on. We did our best (especially my brother) but the Jeep was still tracking like a**. Took it to Auburn Car Repair & Off-road (all the way from Port Orchard) because the owner, John, is a local legend. I was not disappointed. For the first time since I bought this jeep in 2017 it drives straight. John (or his tech) found two control arms upside-down, a loose bolt on my front track bar, and a few other issues and corrected them. He warned me that my steering gearbox is a bit sloppy (which I already knew) but didn't try pressuring me or upselling any work. He just made my rig driveable and it's no longer a liability on the road. Worth every penny."
"I work in the auto industry and it is hard to find good quality work at a fair price…. These guys are first rate every step of the way. From the quote and help picking out gears, to setting up a reasonable time frame to get it all done. John and his crew was amazing. Thank you guys for everything!!!!"
"Had an emergency repair come up and they were able to get me into their shop pretty quickly. The repair was exactly what was needed there wasn't any kind of up sell. Great communication and the price was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend them for all of your vehicle needs."
"They ripped me off!! I brought a new, unused, never in gear oil, modified ARB & Yukon gears to them to install in a old high pinion dana 44. They kept my new locker and installed a used one and did NOT record the set up specs for the Yukon YES warranty I purchased for the ring & pinion.. They also do not provide me with a written estimate, then jacked up the price more than 10%= both illegal! I sent John a detailed email explaining the issue- Randy's R&P said not to double up spacers, they did exactly just that!. First 2 pics are my locker, rests of pics are what they installed! They also kept the parts not used in the master overhaul kit- carrier bearings, gasket, inner axle seals, etc.. ARB's come with their own specific narrower carrier bearings due to the air supply ring. I had to install them to put the ARB in the axle to measure for RCV axle shafts, I used to do gears with a buddy back in the late 90.s - early 2000,s and know the process well. If they will rip off a knowledgeable customer, how bad will they rip off people who have zero knowledge of mechanics?!!!"
