"Due to a change in insurance I had to change dentist. This office consistently received 5 star reviews so I thought to try it. I scheduled a check up and cleaning. It was an interesting experience. 1. This office screens your bp. You do not have the option to refuse. If you do, you will be refused treatment. They use a wrist-cuff, known to be not particularly accurate. Your bp is check with you in the dental chair. This is also known not to be the position for an accurate reading- nor do they mention uncross your legs. It is put on your right wrist, or whichever is closest to the assistant. 2. Digital xrays are great. However, the equipment was large for my mouth. I have not cried at the dentist in 60 years. No tissues were offered. I finally told them to just to swab inside my mouth with a topical- oh thats a good idea. The entire x ray process took almost 1.5 HOURS. They also take camera pictures of all your teeth and a picture of you. During this visit “ gum measurements” were also done. While the staff discussed this among themselves/ no explanation was offered to me. 3. At this point I was informed the cleaning would need a second appointment. WHAT? Though I have reviewed all 34(!) texts and one email from this office, not one documents this would be a 2 day process. It would have been a deal killer as insurance pays for one visit every 6 months. I felt at this point I had to come back to finish the process. 4. The second day was the cleaning. The hygienist took 1 hour to do this. She used a sonic cleaner as well as the usual manual tools.There was no polishing part which is something I have always had. There were plenty of breaks. The inside of my mouth was still a bit tender from the day before, again no tissue offered for involuntary tears. 5. At the end I was told their preferred brand of mouthwash and a followup appointment was made for 4 months time. Insurance pays for every 6 months but it was not worth a hassle at 5:30pm and with everyone in the office getting ready to go home. There was no usual “ goody” bag which I have always received- toothbrush, small toothpaste, floss and usually with small mouthwash and a small bottle of water. In conclusion I am sure this is a good place for some. I am not sure it is for me."

"Trustworthy! Dr. Johns went above and beyond expectations for me and I am not an established patient; this was my first visit there. I went to 2 other dentist and was told my tooth was fractured at the root, each said a different location of the root was fractured. Both dentist said my tooth was not savable and needs to be removed and possibly place an implant in 6 months after healing. Luckily for me, there was a scheduling conflict and we could not get this procedure scheduled until a month later. I sought out a third opinion by Dr. Johns and was ready to have the tooth extracted that day as well. He examined my tooth and sent my images to Dr. Kaldestad at Anchor Endodontics whom I followed up with. My tooth was not fractured at the root and I was able to get a root canal versus extraction. Saved me thousands of dollars and I get to keep my tooth! Dr. Johns team have been in contact with me during this entire ordeal from handing off care to Anchor Endodontics to follow up with after the treatment was completed. I will be starting my dental care with Dr. Johns office and will refer all my friends there too. Highly recommend this office."

"I meant to write this review last year after my cleaning with Nicole, but I forgot. We recently switched to this clinic after moving to Puyallup, and my experience with Nicole for the cleaning was excellent. She was friendly, informative, and paid attention to details, which impressed me. I just scheduled my cleaning with Nicole again for this year!"
