Richie in service went above and beyond with a huge smile, offered my son chips and seat, offered me espresso, taught me how to reset my gages and took under 10 minutes to do everything including an inspection. "Okay.. Lets talk car shopping! After my beloved car after 8 years had a crack in the engine I was forced to give up the "no car payment" life and shop for a new car.. It was horrifying.. I knew I wanted a better car then my previous Chevy Sonic with more options and a engine to get me over the pass to our Eastern Washington summer home but didn't want a large car payment... I started at the Chevy dealership I was servicing my Sonic in Lake City and I wont go into details but I left my first car shopping experience in tears of frustration... Horrible experience I didn't want to go into a dealership again, it was really a bad experience.. I started asking friends what cars they liked, and more said Hyundai and three said GET A HYUNDAI KONA, we love our Kona! Knowing nothing about the car I started to research online and different dealerships including ratings online, like Yelp and Google.. I looked at all different car types, but what I was looking for it always brought me back to Hyundai ( like that great warranty! ) Doug's had the best rating in the area so even though I lived in Seattle I figured it was okay as my family lives in Edmonds. I met Michael via a online submission for a test drive ( with a gift card in return ) I was like why not get some money in return for a test drive. He was so patient, sending emails to ask my budget and I put off my test drive a couple weeks he still was extremely patient and wanted to meet my schedule. I scheduled a appointment and brought in my sister and we were prepared to be smoozled and in for another horrible experience like that Chevy Dealership in Lake City but NO! When we walked in he had printed out all the Kona's in my price range including all specifications and there was nothing but a relaxing experience! I test drove my first Kona, and realized I really wanted more features ( like Heated Seats and Sirius XM radio ) and he already had more papers for me with new prices and vehicles with the price point. I fell in love with a Silver Sonic Hyundai Kona SEL AWD, upgraded a bit and a little above my price point. He then went to work with discounts I could qualify for like Costco and TrueCar and we were able to bring the price down to a cost I could afford with a small TrueCar Discount. There was NO PRESSURE! I wanted a new car, and the prices were haggle free but I was able to negotiate oil changes for the next three years. With the incredible warranty Hyundai has I decided after researching other brands online this was the Crossover for me! I have had my vehicle now for three weeks, my plates came already and I am so happy with the experience I had at Dougs.. Love my new car and this was a great experience I would recommend to everyone I know! Dougs Hyundai and salesperson Michael Daniels were awesome, it was the perfect car shopping experience :)"
