"Just moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and found this gem across the street. Didn't expect to feel so welcome at a bar where the walls have elk heads mounted along with old shotguns above the urinal. Never judge a book by it's cover. Try the chowder on Fridays and the collards on any day!"

"Nice neighborhood corner bar... A bit divey, but it's genuinely so, not at all pretentious. Reasonable prices with all the basics well covered. It happens to be walkable for me and therefore I will probably visit again soon. Seemed to be inhabited mostly by regulars. Not crowded, but a good number of people on a Saturday night enjoying karaoke. I didn't even look at the food menu so can't comment there. Enjoyed machine pool table at just 50¢ per game. Cue sticks were all slightly wonky tho. Table seemed good enough, so if you're picky, bring your own stick."

"I have watched this bar go a long way. It's a quick 8 min walk from my house. The food is fantastic, it has pool, darts, pinball, video poker, and a heated patio. If I have the money, and want to go somewhere close to my house I go here or I head towards foster to starday tavern. One day I want to have my birthday party here, it's big, and has everything you want at a bar."

"We usually meet a large group of our running friends here and always have a wonderful time - last weekend Michael and I came here because I had a hankering for their corn beef hash. It is so good that some days I wake up craving it or sometimes I just crave it for weeks and finally get to satisfy my craving. The bloody Mary’s are fantastic the corn beef hash is some of the best I’ve had. I ordered a biscuit in lieu of toast and it is a mighty fine biscuit! Inside they have a jukebox that you can control with your phone using the Touchtone app, The Lodge also has darts, a pool table and video games. They also have a huge patio and more outdoor tables on the west side of the building. It’s a laid-back local watering hole serving American eats with a great atmosphere and is fabulous for large groups!"

"Addicted to the eggs benny here! They are hands down the best and cheapest in town! Rhonda is an amazing cook and Tonya the day bartender is the sweetest. Also been here a few times at night and love Matt and Tracy. All good people working here! The patio is great each table has a heater and it’s got a good vibe. Highly recommend The lodge."
