"This is a re-review to apologize to the owner and any staff I offended with my previous review that I have now deleted. I didn't review the bar fairly, but instead reviewed from an exaggerated drunken and presumably inaccurate memory about being unhappy with a couple elements... whilst drunk at the time. My sincere apologies. Not cool of me. A fair assessment of the place wouldn't earn it 5 stars in my mind, but different people prefer different elements. I'm confident most people will have a good time and enjoy their food etc., even if it's not totally their vibe. I will give this place another mindful try someday and review accordingly. Again, my apologies for being an unreasonable and inaccurate jerk in my previous review. All the best."

"Stopped into the Blue Rose with a couple of other dads from the Tacoma Dads Group. Found the atmosphere to be so inviting for lunch. The owner and staff were inviting and welcoming with great drink selections and amazing food. The jukebox and free pool top off the location. Definitely can't wait to go back with more friends. "We were in downtown Tacoma to wander around and see what was open. On the recommendation of the nice gal at Guitar Maniacs, we walked up to the Blue Rose for some lunch. Danny greeted us and patiently answered our questions about the menu. I had the vegetable lentil soup and turkey sandwich. Both were excellent and the soup was delicious. My wife had the Full Monte and loved it. The place was empty other than us and Danny made sure we were taken care of while respecting our space. Only small complaint was the music. It was not for us but we smiled as we enjoyed our meals."

"I’ve had the opportunity to visit the Blue Rose twice in the same week. My father was visiting from Florida and I wanted to try somewhere I hadn’t eaten in Tacoma yet. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, I love that they have two sides to the bar, one that’s a bit more calm and one where the fun can be had. When I say welcoming I MEAN welcoming was the vibe I got. My father and I both had the Full Monte, only I had the max and cheese and he had the house salad. The sandwich was so delicious, the contrast between the crunch of the bread and the interior was wonderful, the max and cheese was so good (add tapatio and it sets it off!) baked golden and served hot, the way it should be. Tonight, my wife and I went in before the opera for a couple drinks and also had the pub pretzel, the Brie and garlic plate and the oil, balsamic and Rosemary bread! I would highly recommend coming in and enjoying some food and a few drinks. 10/10 would go again!"
