"One of the neighborhood bars!! My mom used to hang out there and bartended for a while and that was my first time there since 2001. It was really nice, very relaxing. "The Caroline is one of the best old-school dives in Seattle--not just North Seattle, but the whole city. Great bartenders, solid food, strong and appropriately priced drinks, and a pool table that, although it often feels more like playing minigolf than billiards, is free and contested by a friendly, open group of regulars. There's also a lovely covered patio out back. And they're dog-friendly. And there's a whole dang parking lot, just for you. Sometimes they'll put up a sign saying "We won't be open until 10am on Thursday, we apologize for the inconvenience." Look, just go check this place out. It's a gem."
