"The food is well above what you would expect for a bar. We go there often for a drink, but rarely get a meal because we are pescatarian (love the appetizers though!). Today, we were thrilled because we asked the chef gal if she would make us a fish sandwich and she went out of her way to make us happy, even coming out several times to clarify what we wanted. It was an amazing sandwich and we hope they’ll add it to the menu! Also, our friend asked for fry sauce and the chef went back and whipped some up for her. Her and the bartender were much more accommodating than you’d expect for a bar (or even for many restaurants). I can’t recommend this place enough, and I whole heartedly think the staff amplify the experience."

"This review is mainly for Chicken Little (takeout counter attached to Hour Glass Pub and Eatery on NE Glisan) Great take out fried chicken... Seriously...OMG. tender, juicy and dare I say mouth watering? Also the fried cheese curds are a guilty but wonderful distraction... But seriously the chicken, OMG the chicken! My food was clearly made to order, as it came out piping hot after a brief but reasonable wait in the attached Pub. From what I can tell, people at the bar were having a good time, but it wasn't too loud and no one gave me side-eye for sitting at a table while I waited without ordering a drink."
