"Where has this place been all my life! It has a little ghetto but in a good way. Amazing (authentic) Thai-Chinese cuisine! You have to get their soup! So comfy! Best chili oil in Portland! Dry and fresh chilis! Great price for what you get!"
"This was honestly a very underwhelming experience. I was so excited to try it because of the reviews, but the SKINLESS chicken was bland and the rice was dry (I got the #1). Why did I emphasize the skinless part? Because they take it off the chicken and fry it to charge people another $3 to buy it back lol. The Steamed vegetables had no seasoning of any kind (they did have soy sauce for you to use as dipping sauce, but I like my food to already be seasoned). The most disappointing aspect was the peanut sauce. As my friend put it, it tasted like watered down peanut butter. She jokingly said she should’ve taken it home to make a PB&J sandwich with it. There was no depth to the flavor at all. The only things we enjoyed was the chili sauce that came with the chicken and the soup was decent. If you like food that is on the blander side, then I guess I can see why you’d enjoy this place."
"Khao Man Gai ("rice oily chicken" in Thai) is a Southeast Asian style chicken and rice, from this Thai/Vietnamese "fast food" restaurant. The chicken is similar to, but not as good as authentic Hainan Chicken Rice (just had one a week ago at Bellagio Las Vegas). Instead of the chicken rice, recommend to have Khao Kha Muu (Pork) which is Thai Pork & Rice (Carlton’s Farm), pickled mustard greens, and boiled egg served on jasmine rice with Thai chili sauce. No oblivious sign for the restaurant. The front door led to three business stores, on the right it was the restaurant. Parking is by the street."
"Decent hainan chicken. As expected, chicken is fairly simple and boiled. The sauce is pretty tasty. Pork is also great - cooked for long period of time. The server is pretty attentive and helpful. Environment tries to emulate the South Asia hawker style of eating. My only gripe is the tipping system defaulting at 20, 25, 30%. Seems odd since you bus your own plate."
