"Unfortunately didn’t leave raving about any one thing. Ordered several meat dishes (braised beef, fried chicken, stir fry pork) but meat was a bit dry and lacking flavor. Interior was cozy and clean with plenty of outdoor seating for the summer."

"The oxtail soup was very warming and hearty. It's very similar to the oxtail soup that can be found in Hawaii. The Indonesian coffee is great too although there are no free refills. There are a ton of great vegan/vegetarian options here."

"Wajan is one of my favorite Indonesian restaurants, and Portland's best in my opinion. The salad with sprouts, tofu and pineapple, the fried chicken, and Beef Tendang are incredibly delicious. There are five excellent sambals to add to entrees. Interesting coctails and great service. So good!"

"Me and my family were in Portland and went to this restaurant and ordered some of Indonesian dishes; first the dessert was called "cendol" it was good but very small - pricewise; the main course "nasi campur" and some others do not have deep flavor and lack of seasoning as we know Indonesian foods have always rich with seasons and spices."
