"Shiku is my favorite sushi restaurant and one of my favorite all-time restaurants! I’ve been coming here for nearly 5 years. The Bruce Lee roll, Salt & Pepper roll, Monkey Brains, and Chicken Kara-Age are my favorite menu items. They always do their best to accommodate my friends’ special dietary requirements, which is appreciated. The bartenders are cool and the servers are very friendly and knowledgeable (thank you, Raechel)! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Try the Yuzu Lime Drop cocktail or one of the sakes on their sake menu. Plus, they have an amazing happy hour with great prices!"
"I’m always glad I stop here when I’m in town! Sat at the bar and interacted with the new manager Kayla who was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the area! She gave me some great recommendations for after dinner entertainment too. I had the chefs choice Nigiri and was NOT disappointed! The sunomono salad was a perfect little appetizer as well. I hadn’t been in a couple years and I am so glad the quality can still be counted on."
"Shiku is my favorite place to go in Ballard! The fish is good, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. If you’ve never had sushi before, they are very accommodating and are more than happy to teach you how to order. At the same time, more seasoned sushi eaters will appreciate the high quality fish and the creative rolls! I always have a great time when I come to shiku, the staff are very attentive, warm, and helpful!"
"After an afternoon at the farmers market we got hungry and instead of one of the many food vendors we opted for Shiku sushi. We ordered several rolls and apperizers off the happy hour menu. The fish tasted fresh, which, unfortunately, is not something that you can say at very many places these days. Also remarkable is the fresh grated wasabi - I cannot think of anyone else in Seattle who does this, not even I Love Sushi. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Ballard."
"The sushi here is amazing! I've been back 3-4 times and averaged 4-6 rolls per visit, they are consistent and delicious! The service usually leaves something to be desired but the job gets done and the food is good enough to make it a non-event. I have only tried a couple of the cocktails on the menu but they have been pretty tasty (just Ballard prices). The appetizers have been pretty yummy and consistent too."
