"Tried Fish & Rice for the first time after reading all of the great reviews and I'm happy to say that it was a great place! We got a few rolls from here and even though we thought the prices were pretty hefty compared to competitors, the rolls themselves were delicious, I especially loved the spam roll! The decor of the restaurant is very welcoming and cozy, with large tables suited towards big groups and a few high table chairs for singles or couples. The only thing I disliked about our visit here is that there is a smell that gets into your clothes which is not pleasant. Once we left, the next day our jackets smelled like the restaurant and we had to wash all our clothes from that visit to get rid of it."

"Some of the freshest and delicious sushi and sushi bowl I've ever had. Glad that they're back and I can try them. The pickled grated wasabi is a must to go with each bite of the sushi bowl."

"Excellent quality sushi! The chutoro just melts in your mouth. The ikura (salmon roe) is exceptional! I like the minimalistic and spacious design inside which allows one to appreciate and focus on the delicious food! You need to order first then sit down. Try to arrive before the lunchtime/dinner rush as it gets quite busy. If they are busy, order an appetizer as those tend to come out much quicker."

"Very beautiful spot to eat at in the summer time where you can sit outside. The inside is very cute and aesthetic. The menu has a lot to choose from and I recommend the salmon poke bowl. The plating is very beautiful and sushi rolls are so elegant you almost don’t want to eat it. Wouldn’t say this is authentic poke but it’s a refreshing meal to eat. Staff is very nice and helpful when you have no idea what to order."

"This was my favorite sushi place here in Portland and my go to whenever I was craving it. The fish was always fresh, flavorful, and high quality and it was very reasonably priced in my opinion. My personal go to items were their bowls, especially the scallop bowl and when I wanted to treat myself I'd get the chirashi bowl. I was sad when I walked by a few weeks ago and saw that they're now closed. I'm glad I got to get many great meals from them and wish everyone there the best in the future!"
