"I walked across the street from The Landing Hotel to grab a milkshake and a sweet treat. The Local offers handmade ice cream, pastries, tea, coffee, and sandwiches. I ordered a Blue Moon Milkshake (raspberry & other flavors), a pecan huckleberry scone and a piece of banana bread. It was busy and I received my milkshake in about ten minutes The milkshake was thick and had great taste. The scone and banana bread were both very moist and not really sweet. I enjoyed the the fun atmosphere of The Local and came back the the next day for a raspberry Italian Soda. Located on Adams Street in La Grande across from The Landing Hotel. A nice place to stop for a frozen treat, pastry, drink, or sandwich in a renovated Texaco Gas Station with friendly service."
