"BEST BURGER IN PORTLAND I’ve been coming to Roake’s with my dad since I was a kid and can be certain that this is THE BEST thing patty burger in the city. Their burgers have the perfect flavor and texture to them. Add in the scrumptious coney sauce and you’ve got magic in your mouth. The Roakeburger is my go to, but I leave off the swamp melons and onions. I’ve also been known to get a coney dog or a chili burger on occasion. Their fries are hit and miss IMO, but I come for the burgers anyway. Sketchballs flock to this place and I may visit their other location soon to see if it’s free of drug users, homeless, and gambling addicts. The lottery room Roake’s has doesn’t help."

"Honestly an oasis. The food around this area is either fast food, or not good. Stopped by here on my way to my storage unit. I was so surprised. Wonderful service. Great hotdog. Just all around fantastic. If I worked around here I'd come every day for lunch."

"I have been going to this restaurant for many years especially when I worked out at our office by the airport. It does have new owners I was lucky enough to meet both of them, what a fantastic team they make. The food has remained as delicious as always, they do have a wide selection of food to choose from, they are more than open to suggestions, personally I suggested that they offer smaller portions of French fries, the one portion can easily feed three to four people. In my opinion they truly have the best hamburger anywhere around, for lighter eaters you can surely share one of there hamburgers, I do look forward to hearing from others"

"Food has usually been so fresh. This time I went, different staff at this location and noticed that the hamburger meat was not the same. That's why only 4 stars for food. I've frequented this location for over 15 years. Hamburgers were always freshly made and delicious. I was quite surprised!"
