Reviews of Kubo
"Great service. Gentlemen was giving us advice and recommendations. He was telling us his history and his culture. Small seating area if you plan on dining in. I would go back again"
"First time eating Filipino food. This place was absolutely amazing! The owner is very knowledgeable and was able to explain the food, flavors, and culture. If you like Filipino food, or have never tried it, Kubo is the place to go!"
"My wife is Filipino from the Island of Cebu and has cravings for more authentic food. I am always in search of something that can fill that! We had 3 dishes here and they were GOOD! I’ve been to Cebu many times (Not all over the Philippines) and have had different foods there. So the taste from the Philippines definitely takes place here, they have a good take on Traditional Philippine Food. We like a Fusion of Filipino food, but my wife says it never really hits the spot. To add: The owner is the one handling the front and serving and helping his wife and sometimes daughter that helps them out, he is very open and kind man, with a humble viewpoint of keeping to a traditional way of making foods and warm the heart and souls of there customers. To add there isn’t a lot of seating inside but there is outside with heaters. Prices are a bit high but really everything is nowadays with the fact that these ARE NOT frozen but made from scratch. The experience was great! We hope that “Kubo” NOT ‘magna kubo’ which something COMPLETELY different keeps receiving a good customer base so we can enjoy many more years"
"My husband and I were craving for home cook Filipino food today. So, we decided to go to Kubo and eat there for lunch. Got there and ordered not just dine-in food but also take out food for our dinner. We ordered quite a lot of varieties of food from what they have on their menu and they have quite a bit of choices. Food was excellent, truly home cook taste. We even ordered desserts -halo-halo and leche flan. Had to bring the desserts home as we were too full. I had rated the atmosphere as 4-stars instead of 5 more because we would have love more space inside for sitting down or dine in. They have plan to expand in the future for more tables for people who would like to dine in, which would be great! But, the atmosphere is very clean and reminded us of home. Service was superb. The owner was very friendly and explain to us about their food and how they make them to make every food taste like home cook food. We will be going back in the near and far future."
"While on our Westcoast roadtrip, we stopped by this Filipino restaurant in Oregon I googled online while on the way to Yellowstone, I can say that it's one of the best authentic Filipino food outside home I had eaten in a while. The foods are delicious. I ordered beef sinigang, dinuguan (both comes with a rice), and pancit bihon. My bf and his nephew ordered chicken barbecue that comes with rice, spring rolls, and atsara. They like the foods considering they're not Filipinos. So if you're on a travel in Oregon area and nearby States that likes Filipino foods. I recommend this restaurant. Pictures shown we're eating in the table outside to feel the warm weather and stretched out coming from a long roadtrip."
