"Excellent food, great art on walls from different artists to wander and look at. Great staff; they don't rush you out the door. Thoughtful selections, like some include edible flowers (so healthy and yummy!)"
"Food is awesome and fantastic - a lot of interesting and daring flavors. My only criticism is that the food portions are huge and very saucey. Sometimes less is more. Lesser is more elegant and also allows people to crave for more. But overall, very lovely dining experience."
"Dining at Elements was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere when we walked in. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a special date night. The ambiance was relaxed and comforting, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and he knew when to check on us and give us our space. His professionalism and knowledge of the menu were impressive. Oh my, was the food out of this world. I ordered the scallops, and they were cooked to perfection. They were served on a bed of Dungeness crab risotto, with yellow corn and pork belly, all topped with a wild mushroom soubise (sauce). Every bite was flavorful, and the risotto had generous chunks of crab cooked flawlessly. I appreciated the thoughtfully curated menu. Kudos to the chef for their cooking expertise. This is not an inexpensive dining experience but it is worth every penny. Elements in downtown Vancouver is not just a restaurant; it's a destination for exceptional food and a memorable dining experience. Whether it is a special occasion or a romantic date night, this is the place to be (reservation required)."
"Our first experience here and it didn't disappoint. My partner and I have a long history of working in the service industry and our review reflects some things we noticed. 1. The service: Welcome was prompt and friendly, we were seated immediately for our reservation. Our server, Mary, was perfectly attentive, listening, watching and taking queues of when we were ready for anything. Her knowledge of the wine, dishes and menu were on point. Her energy was appropriate for a fine dining experience. Bonus- there was staging and phasing of each course. You don't see that level detail in our local restaurants often. 2. The food: Appetizers - Asparagus, Crab/Brie fondue. We shared the Halibut main. All were expertly portioned, and the presentation was on point - beautiful. You can tell when a chef takes pride in their work. The flavor profiles were excellent. Each bite had the proper balance of flavors to make it an amazing experience. Highly recommend the Halibut. The blend of the earthy morels, sweet gnocchi, and savory light halibut just exploded with flavor. We could tell each bite was meant to be eaten with these combinations of flavors and was portioned just right. Really good wine selection. (Vinho Verde was slightly effervescent and a great a pairing with our rich fondue) 3. The atmosphere: It's an intimate place, with unique local art and the ambient music was at the right level for conversation and we felt like we were at our own table not too close to others. You know how some places have so much loud talking you have to raise your voice to hear each other? This isn't like that. Folks were dressed mid-casual and it was a well lit and a warm environment. Bathrooms were clean. Bonus: Did I mention that Mary was super super awesome? She is. And the food? I want to go back tonight! Cost: $100/person out the door with wine and tip."
"Now that it’s heading towards summer it’s great to sit outside and enjoy dinner and drinks. Food was delicious and definitely offers some colourful plates to devour. Keep an eye on the wine by the glass that’s served though. It doesn’t seem like they check the bottles and how long they’ve been opened for. Needless to say, the waitress was very quick to open a new one and the results were much better!"
