"EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE! Very friendly and kind! Wanted to save money and avoid a service call, after YouTube educating myself I brought the suspected culprit to the shop and they worked with me on making sure I had actually correctly diagnosed my dryer myself to make sure I didn't buy the wrong part. They were actually able to supply a used replacement component of the part right away, fixing my existing part and saving me a lot of money. I can't recommend them enough! They've earned my business for all future appliance needs. Hyper local, wonderful people."
"From the friendly and personal staff to their quick service, I would recommend this family owned business to anyone. I am a single mamma of 2 busy, messy kids! Imagine A teen who thinks she needs 3 towels a shower and a preteen who changes her clothes 7 times a day!! A huge Thank you to Welch’s Appliance for the quick and thorough repair of my dryer. Thanks to you I won’t be drying off with a pillow case this week!"
"We’ve been in a handful of times lately troubleshooting a used washer and dryer we were gifted. They’ve been really patient and helpful with advice. Amanda has also given us free gaskets and wires when she could have charged us. We’ll be loyal customers going forward."
"Update: Welch’s co-owner reached out to make this situation right. He arranged for water mitigation services to come out and hopefully stop whatever water still lived under the wood and control the mold potential. He apologized profusely and is eager to see us whole again. Welch’s refunded us for the machine. We anticipate they will help us get our floors back soon, too! This is the Welch’s you see in so many good reviews! My incident is an aberration, I believe. I think the other person was just having a very bad day. We are all human. Holy cow. What a nightmare. We purchased a washer/dryer stack set. I called after a few days to schedule a tech visit as the buttons and knobs weren’t functioning properly. Basically they seemed glitchy—stopped working altogether. But suddenly they started working again so i canceled the technician visit. Didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. Five loads later, the tub fills up and won’t stop. It keeps filling and none of the knobs or buttons would respond to stop the filling. This water overflowed. Standing in water on our new floors, my husband and I pulled the machine out to see the drain was properly connected and so we unplugged the set and turned off our water. All of this tub water poured out into our hallway hardwood floors. We have extensive damage to our hardwoods, our sheetrock, and subfloors. Welch’s response was a mixed one. At first, the lovely lady answered the phone and gave us a next day technician appointment. The tech called me back with a terrible attitude. She didn’t even express anything resembling sadness for our losses. She reminded me that she told me “very bluntly” that another technician would not be able to come out to help for another week or two, so maybe i shouldn’t cancel my original appointment. I had no idea the machine would over flow from the tub and the machine would fail to respond to anything other than a plug- pulling. In all of my conversation with this tech, she ignored my concerns & interrupted me. She bullied me and I’m totally shocked. She talked over me. It was odd. She called me “honey” when i told her that her suggested remedy of bringing us another set to use was not acceptable. I simply want the machine gone and some kind of compensation for all of the damage done to my home. This really feels like grounds for a lawsuit… I’m out the $700 for the machine and likely a total rehab of the laundry room and hallway and hardwood floors. $$$. Tech: “honey, did you read the receipt you signed?” Her tone was humiliating and condescending. & yes, because of this, i lost it and told her eff off. I’m just not one to do this, but goodness, this is nasty. A professional wouldn’t have responded to me in the way she did, but she told me to eff off too and hung up on me. I’m sitting here crying about the damage to my home. I can deal with the loss of my $700 machine. But this is just too much."
