"Went to Portland from San Diego to celebrate my birthday week. My boo had this place on her "must try" list. The day of my actual birthday (3/6) we decided to try the famous cafécito! Once we entered, the vibe didn't feel so welcoming. Cashier or barista never crossed words with us other than "no" they do not warm up pastries. The Cubano mocha was good and their Guava empanada was so bomb, but those manners can really discourage you. Read other reviewers like me that felt the same. "Business that doesn’t treat their own POC with love." ¡Que gacho!"

"This place was very good. The pastries were amazing, definitely try the pan dulce! The coffee was also fantastic and beautifully crafted. Friendly staff and very nice environment and ambiance as well. I recommend them."

"The mocha I had was amazing, and the coffee beans I got were a great gift for my coffee loving homie, tbh probably the best mocha I’ve ever had. Glad I decided to stop by before leaving for back home. When I arrived 1.5 hours before most of the bakery items were sold, wish I could have tried them but hopefully I’ll be back to try it again, definitely recommend"

"Genuinely my favorite coffee place in Portland, I don't care where in the city I am, I will make the trip for La Perlita. Their True Mexican Mocha is to die for, and their Cuban Cortadito is so delicious, I've never had one like it. Beautifully handcrafted drinks and phenomenal people, can't recommend this place enough."
