"I have been going to Connor for cut/balayage for over year now and I could not be happier with my hair. He's always encouraging me to try something different with my hair and when I'm uncomfortable with the idea, he respects my wishes. Just yesterday, I went in for a trim and he said it would be fun to try a faint oil-slick color, with purple, pink, and green. Although I was very nervous to try adding vivids to my hair for the first time ever, he made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to do what I wanted to do, and it turned out to be a beautiful, very subtle hint of color. Connor is so kind and respectful of my wishes when it comes to my hair. I'll be moving in a year but I know that I will be coming back when I need my hair done!"
"I came in for a bang trim and toner while on a road trip. I left in tears, which has never happened to me before. I was assigned Connor for my appt, who somehow despite a 10+ min consultation, cut my bangs WAY too short, completely changing the shape of them (to full bang that is short all the way across vs my original swoopy, parted down the middle bang with some length over each temple). I had explained I loved my current shape, it was just grown out, so I’m really unclear where things went wrong. I’m now going to have to wait at least 2 months to grow the length back to reshape them to my prior cut. I think the new shape is really unflattering on me and I really hate it. I’ve gotten bang trims elsewhere and they trimmed a little at a time, checking in with me as they went. Connor stood between me and the mirror and very quickly went way overboard. They are clearly inexperienced and overzealous. They apologized profusely, admitting they misunderstood what I was asking for. Overall, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a salon and I completely regret coming in."
"I won't go anywhere else! Sierra is amazing! All of the stylists are sweet, talented and I always look forward to my salon day. The vibe is warm, inviting, fun, and friendly. I love it so much that I take a ferry from Seattle and drive up to Port Angeles every 6 weeks."
"Love this spot and highly highly recommend. I go to Connor every 2-3 months for color + cut and he is my personal hair guru. We've done beautiful golden balayage on my natural brown, then took my hair to dimensional coppery-golden brown, we've even done green and now blue! (Ob.sessed.) & The cuts are always gorgeous and easy to work with at home, as is the balayage that grows out beautifully, no awkward roots here! Plus, sitting in a chair for 2-3 hours hanging out with Connor, Raven, and Sierra is always fun and relaxing. The clientele is everyone from young kids to teens to all ages of adults, which makes for a nice and very un-stuffy environment. (I am not making up that after I came home from a hair appointment with Connor yesterday, my fiance literally stopped in his tracks and stared. Can't get a higher thumbs-up than that!!!)"
"I am very disappointed to be making this post. I wanted to like this salon, but I absolutely hate my haircut and will never go back. I went into the salon with very long, thick hair after I had my son. Since I always have to wear my hair up with having a baby, I asked for a trim and some long bang pieces to pull down. The stylist was very sweet and easy to chat with, and accommodating with the fact that I had to bring said baby inside with me. It threw me off that she very lightly misted my hair but did not get it totally wet, as I have very thick wavy hair, but I let her do her thing and didn’t question it. When I got home, I found that the bang pieces were still really long and thin, and didn’t really work to be pulled down. I was disappointed that a lot of my length had gotten cut, but tried to shrug it off since it’s just hair. I should have left it here. I knew that I won’t have much time for going to the salon with now having 2 kids, a puppy and working full time, so I called back and asked to get the bang pieces a little shorter. I was set up with their senior stylist. This stylist was also very sweet and easy to talk with. I made sure to let her know that I needed the pieces long or else they’ll look weird, since I have waves and curls. I’ve gotten side bangs in the past and hated them short, they look terrible on me and take forever to grow. About chin length, maaaybe a little shorter would be good. She also did not wet the hair, and instantly cut a large chunk on one side very short. I casually reminded her that I wanted pieces on both sides, and for them to blend into longer chin length pieces, just trying to trust that it would be fine because she’s a professional… this took about an hour. I am now left with choppy, uneven bangs that don’t really match and are difficult to maintain due to my hair type and lifestyle. On top of it all, when I put my hair in a pony tail, there are a few random extra long chunks that don’t blend at all with the bulk of the hair. Again- the employees were super personable and accommodating, I’m just incredibly unhappy with my haircut."
