"Used to go to Duffy's as a kid back when it was on the other side of town. Decided to stop in while driving through town with a friend. I got the french dip with fries and my friend got the corned beef hash and eggs. The french dip sandwich itself was about 4 inches long, maybe 5. It was definitely shorter than the length of my fork and about half an inch thin. It looked like someone had cut a third out of the middle when they cut it in half. Au jus was from a packet but it was flavorful. We asked about the hash before ordering to make sure it wasn't from a can, and we were assured it was made in-house and isn't gummy like the canned stuff. It was definitely not from a can, the potato in it was shreds and also had a bit of shredded carrot and some onion. The corned beef however had the consistency and taste of the canned kind. It was finely macerated and pasty. He also requested his eggs come over-easy, but one came over-medium and it's twin was over-hard. With coffee and a soda our total was $52, way too much for the small portion and low quality of food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the wait staff was kind and in good spirits. Not sure if I'll come back any time soon, but if I do it'll be for a slice of pie and to enjoy chatting with the wait staff."
"First time here since new owners and welcome change food wise. We used to come here for years, and it went downhill food wise. We started out with the calamari, which was pleasantly priced, crispy, and the right consistency. The weird thing is that a slice of orange was served with it instead of lemon???? The clam chowder was a little strange as it was semi thick, not water thin and not Ivars chower thick, just like it was thinned a little. My Philadelphia cheesesteak was good with toasted roll, but then another weird thing is they served Au Jus with it??? Strange, but it wasn't bad, just too salty. The cheeseburger was good, but she was not told that it came with seasoned french fries vrs regular. The wife said they were good despite the fact she would have rather had regular fries, and if they did not have regular fries, she would have got onion rings. All in all the meal was good and we will be coming back. It is a much better improvement from the last time we were there. Service was good and really appreciated that they took my card up to the register as it's usually you pay when you leave. UPDATE: 12/12/23 Tue. ONE STAR*, Went for breakfast. Was hopeful, but when the coffee was poured, we were never asked if we needed creamer so had to get up and find it myself. Ordered the steak and eggs for $21 and wife ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs $23. Small cup of coffee $3.49 ea. WOW!! $59.94 for breakfast. Insane. Unfortunately, the steak which was supposed to be medium rare was well done and tough as a hockey puck, inedible. Her chick fried was tough as shoe leather and her eggs which were supposed to be med were rock hard. The orange slice on each plate looked off and after tasting was spoiled. The hash browns were ok but not crispy. Very disappointed, hard to screw up breakfast, but at least the wheat toast was good. So, $60 for a couple pieces of toast, hmmm what a deal!"
"We loved it so much, we went back the next day! Both servers were excellent, even included some humorous banter. The food was great! Their fried chicken was phenomenal! My friend enjoyed her eggs Benedict a lot, and the atmosphere is very homey and cozy. Highly recommend this gem!"
"We stop here every time we come through Aberdeen. The BEST Prime Rib dip of all. It wasn't busy, as this is prime tourist season. Great atmosphere, excellent food, and great service! Thank you!"
"Sat in lounge & Tammy served us. She was the only one in there & got our drinks ordered & 2 appetizers. 20 minutes & 3 customers later, she came back to take the rest of our order apologizing for the wait. We were there 70 minutes & got our appetizers. 25 minutes later we got our food. Very slow kitchen! Portions were fairly large, although there were only 5 onion rings for $6.00! If it weren't for Tammy being so nice, our patients could have run thin. She even gave extra refills on our iced tea because of the wait (normally only 1 free refill). Thanks, Tammy, for the excellent service! BTW, the fire door in the lounge needs to be cleared! It's a fire hazard to have it blocked!"
