"I had an exceptional experience. The food surpassed my expectations with its diverse array of flavors and unique tastes. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing the chef's creativity and skill. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the meal. I particularly appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate any requests. Overall, I highly recommend Kann to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings."
"Unfortunately Kann did not live up to its name for us. It is so loud in the restaurant you can barely have a conversation with anyone. Personally none of the food was memorable, rated the dishes we had below. Scallops 2 out of 5. Undercooked, but the sauce was lovely. We couldn’t really eat it as the texture was off and lukewarm scallops aren’t appetizing. Jerk chicken 3 out of 5. The sauce was amazing however the chicken was overcooked and dry. We ended up only eating half. The pears were a good addition to the dish. If the chicken wasn’t dry I would have loved this one. Twice cooked pork 4 out of 5. Tasty little dish but nothing I would go back for. Collard greens 5 out of 5. Unique and delicious. Fritters 5 out of 5. Yummy. Such a bummer that the place is over hyped, we really wanted to love it but for us the execution was lacking for a fine dining restaurant and overall ambiance was far too loud for us to enjoy."
"I'm quite disappointed with my last experience at Kann. We were served a raw piece of chicken (meal comes with 5 pieces). My sister ended up taking a bite thinking to herself there's no way that a James Beard award winning restaurant could serve raw chicken- it must just be dark meat, right? She spit it out immediately. We then asked our server to verify if it was indeed raw chicken because it looked more pink than usual, she said she would grab the chef to double check for us. Chef came over, agreed that we were given raw chicken. He proceeded to ask "are you still hungry? Can we get you something else?" We were taken aback with the whole situation, my sister had just taken a bite of raw chicken, we didn't necessarily 'need' more food so what do you say to that? We were at a a loss for words and felt uncomfortable. The chef ended up saying he'll bring new chicken. He brought two new pieces of chicken, took back our old plate, and plated the two new pieces of chicken with our previous chicken pieces that were not raw. Having experience in culinary school, that is the perfect example of cross contamination. Meal was not comped, no apology was given, just overall was left with a bad taste in my mouth- figuratively and literally. Server was friendly and the ambiance was great, therefore a two star review. *Previously visited the restaurant last year and enjoyed my experience. However after this incidence, I don't think I'll be returning."
"Great food and the decor is wonderful. Whoever designed that space is fabulous. The check in experience is over the top and rude. It’s a restaurant not an opera. They forgot to give us spoons for the soup which was pretty funny. All in good fun. It’s very expensive but if you can get a reservation, have fun and go."
"The friendly experience was given through all the staff by giving you the detail of each dish. Every dishes has its own unique representation and distinctive taste. I think it’s a new invention taste of Haitian foods rather than original, but they were really delicious. The dessert was a really remembrance experience of the evening. It was phenomenal."
