Reviews of Joshua's Restaurant & Lounge
"We came on New Year’s day. Nice place to get dinner, but service was bad. Someone placed us at a table immediately, but our server forgot about us completely and did not even bring us water until someone else noticed and did. When ordering, the server was not very friendly and made me uncomfortable of asking questions even though it was my husband and I’s first time there. When we ordered, she didn’t even care to clarify how things work. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the Joshua burger, I think. He got the clam chowder as a side, but we actually had to pay extra for it. According to the menu, it says it’s included, but I guess not. I will say the clam chowder was delicious though. We also asked for ketchup for the fries and lemon for our water, and they forgot about it. She eventually remembered to bring our ketchup, so there’s that. I’ll try other places before going back here when I visit Port Angeles next time."
"This restaurant has recently changed hands. Although I didn't meet the new owner while we were there apparently she was on premise. The food seems better. It was hot and very tasty. I'm hoping that in the future the interior is updated a little. Although clean, it is still dated. I wish the new owners the very best. This restaurant has the potential to be one of the best in Port Angeles."
"My husband and I are staying at the hotel next door, and when we were ready for dinner, a lot of places were closing early. We decided to go next door. We walked in and were seated by the host, and she got us water. Our waiter came by and talked about what we'd like. we weren't ready just yet, and we didn't see her for at least 8 minutes. I made eye contact with the host several times, but she never came to us or got our waiter. My husband's stomach was upset, so he just did the salad bar, and I was so hungry. I was just going to ditch what I wanted and go to the salad bar, too. As I started to stand, she came by. I ordered seafood pick 3, clams, fried oysters, and salmon. Food came, and the veggies were old and over steamed. You picked up the broccoli, and it was pale and falling apart. Clams, where not great in some kind of butter sauce with bell peppers in it? Clams were the sizes of my pinky nail, no clam fork brought (the host did come by and asked if I wanted one when I was almost done) or dish for my clam shells. Oysters weren't properly fried, zero oyster taste. The salmon visually had seasoning but tasted off, had two bites, and looked at the skin, which wasn't a good color and pale. I liked my baked potato, and the clam chowder was good, not homemade. Waiter didn't check on us at all. Sadly, husband asked for the check so we could go somewhere else."
"Amazing, Honey ordered the special, which was a crab & shrimp omelet. I had the steak and eggs. The omelet had a generous amount of seafood, and the steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The eggs were beautifully poached. Big portions & friendly service, really happy to have finished my vacation with such a delicious breakfast. Coffee was strong and hot. Waitress knew her stuff."
"Pretty decent burgers. Although wish the buns were grilled too. We were very disappointed with the service. The waitress was probably the least friendly person we’ve met at Port Angeles. She has no courtesy. Probably a desk job is more suitable for her."
