"Everytime I walk into Heid Music, the atmosphere is super chill. Which is really nice when the rest of life is turned up to 11. The people I've dealt with have been friendly and professional...but I've worked with Tyler, in the guitar section, the most. He's always been ready to help people, provide relevant anecdotes and knowledge, and (perhaps most importantly) doesn't come across as a pretentious gatekeeper...which is a problem a lot of music shops have. Even though I know I'm taking his time, I don't feel rushed. Customer service is his first priority, a rare quality in 2024. I've never felt out of place, nor have I seen any customer, in any section look uncomfortable, upset or disappointed. I've been showing up to the Appleton store somewhat regularly for the last 18 months, and I will most certainly be back sooner rather than later. If I'm pressed to come up with a downside, it's finding parking on busy days. There's not much that Heid Music can do about that, short of moving to a new location though. If you're willing and able to walk 1-2 blocks you will be fine."

"I happened to hop into this store while on tour with a show I was performing in just down the street at the Performing Arts Center. The staff was very warm and welcoming and so very happy to help in any way possible. Ryan Smith helped me with all my questions. The store is well stocked and carries a great selection of horns to try. (I am a trumpet player and their offerings were quite good). If you are looking for anything in the instrumental market, this place is as good as any that I have seen."
