"I think it’s OK here, but I don’t think I would do boarding unless I could get a fully enclosed suite for my pup. The main cabins are like bathroom stalls in a big warehouse with multiple indoor play yards right there too. During group play, my pup was constantly trying to peer out of the play yard gaps to see what all the noise was about, so I worry about how much rest they would get. In the play yards, it is nice that dogs can go through a weather door to the outside, but it is concerning to have one attendant and two separate spaces. For example, on the cameras I saw my dog repeatedly enduring unwanted, intense play from a big puppy and the apathetic attitude of the attendant not keeping an eye on the situation as my dog would run outside to get away wasn’t cool. Mine grew increasingly (and reasonably) defensive where I worried about the possibility of dog fights there since attendants won’t do much to de-escalate. When they did finally remove the puppy (after hours of the issue) they didn’t move them to a cabin to decompress, instead moved them to the big dog play area, where they proceeded to cower. I have never heard of that teaching technique before and I doubt it helped them learn how to interact with smaller dogs or those that don’t want to roughhouse."
"Love this location! All of the staff treat my fur baby like their own ❤️"
"They recently increased prices, and decreased the amount of packaged days you can buy together to try and make the daily price more affordable. Before you could buy a 40 day package, which came out to 27.96/day and could pay an invoice online. Now the cheapest you can get is $32/day with a 20 day package and cannot pay an invoice online. I've moved to Playtime Dog Daycare II, they have 50 day packages that bring their daily cost to $27.30 (their website has these numbers). Thats a nearly $5/day savings doesn't seem like a lot, but lets do some napkin math: Saving $5/day over 50/days (5 x 50) is $250 saved. But you cant buy 50 day packages from Camp Bow Wow, the only way to make this apples to apples is to have a common denominator of 100 days. So, if you buy five 20 day packages from Camp Bow Wow for $3,200 and buy two 50 day packages from Playtime II Doggie Daycare for $2,730. These 100 days have a difference of $470. This is no small chunk of change difference. Playtime also has a larger play area inside and outside. The value proposition for Camp Bow Wow Oak Creek has come down slightly and we've stopped coming here regularly, sorry to say. Camp Bow Wow's staff is super nice though, this is not to dog on them, just speaking numbers."
"The staff is very welcoming and energetic. The facility is very clean and the lobby is welcoming. Cooper comes home VERY tired from running and playing all day which is fabulous for his puppy energy! It’s so nice for him to have a chance to not be cooped up all day a couple time a week!"
"Great experience with my dog at the Oak Creek facility. Huge play areas, well supervised dogs, reasonable prices, friendly staff, close to home, flexible and available for last-minute requests. Dog was pooped on her first day (which was free once she passed her interview)! :)"
