"Great people, honest and professional. They go out of their way to please you."
"We went to Joe for quality. Far from that. 1st yr boat was winterized, the pastic held snow and warped. When it melted it turned into like 6 gal. Of water. Stretched the plastic, which then cracked the windscreen. Hats off to Joe, he found a hard to find piece and replaced it. After round and round with my wife on phone. Did I mention all the pinholes in the plastics that Joe and another worker, came to our house and patched. I found even more afterward. Joe sent a roll of tape home with me to patch myself. No problem. When they heated the plastic a few drips fell and melted into carpet. He said he would replace the carpet. WELL, him and three others took a look and seen we had am underbelly. He put a halt to that. And offered to winterize for free. We could live with that. He consistently said we should have swept the snow off. Funny four other boat places said exact same thing."teepee wasn't high enough". That they never sweep boats off in their yards. Well, we went back to him to again. Well, same thing, holes everywhere, strings not tight, to keep tent taught and, AND rear part of teepee not high enough again. So I went inside again. I tightened stringers and beefed up teepee, so snow wouldn't melt, puddle and stretch plastic again. Oh there's more. They spray painted on both sides, to demoralize us while towing the boat in general public. "SWEEP OFF SNOW". Where the metal hinges are for the Bimini to fold up, aren't protected from tearing through the plastic. I had to add that also. I have everything documented. Pictures, videos and text messages between Joe and my wife. We are moving south. We told him. So I'm sure they didn't go out of their way to do a quality job. He probably figures, "Good riddance. ""
"I cannot say enough great things about Joe. We had issues with our last marina and our boat desperately needed service last week. (Of course, right before the end of the summer.) I called Joe Monday and he was able to pull our boat out of the water by Tuesday. (We live in Chicago.) He told us it would be at least 1.5 weeks because everyone was trying to get their boats serviced before the end of the summer. He just called me today and gave me the run down of what he fixed and the boat will be back in the water today! Just in time for us to head up and use it for the weekend! Not only was Joe incredibly knowledgeable, but he took the time and spoke with both my husband and myself. I am so happy we'll have our boat on the water for this weekend and able to enjoy it the last couple months of nice weather we have!! Looking to have him winterize and store our boat this year as well. Thank you SO much Joe!"
"I highly recommend this place! Their prices are great and the owner Dan is a very honest guy. They have done work for me before and it was always a nice experience. Fast service too.{ A new review from 2018. Dan is no longer the owner. He was probably the most honest mechanic I have ever met. He sold it to a guy who I think may just follow in Dan's footsteps I hope!!!!!!!!! I was going to replace my water pump impeller on my 60 hp merc big foot 4 stroke. It was just sputtering out water out of discharge indicator. I almost dropped the lower unit to replace the water pump. I have very muddy water by me and it was just plugged up. He gave me a heads up on what to do with compressed air. This is why when I don't want to repair things on my own on my 3 boats I go to them. I think the new owners name is Jerry. I usually do my own work, but I think I will give him a chance like I did Dan}"
"My neighbor on Lake Denoon recommended this place and I’m glad he did! Last year they fixed my motor problems on my pontoon and this year they repaired my steering cable on my boat, which became very difficult to turn the wheel. The owner Joe seems like a very nice and honest person and I will be using them in the future and recommending them to friends!"
