"Do not use their sub-contractors. They sent a plumber; He screwed everything up. Installed the sink incorrectly, did not hook up water correctly, sloppy calk everywhere. Also sink traps were off center. Then they sent him back to screw it up even worse. THE most incompetent person I have ever had to deal with. We had to pay big time to fix it. Now we have mor problems, Oh Boy. Totally incompetent."
"Depends on who you get"
"Extremely happy with quality of carpet installation. Fast friendly and looks great!"
"I bought a Feather River door from Home Depot about a month ago. Very beautiful and very expensive entry door. My brother and I installed the door ourselves. My brother built homes locally for over 15 years in case the quality of work comes into speculation. After the door was installed we attempted adjusting the threshold to create a good seal only to find 2 of the 4 screws were seized. So our brand new 500+ dollar door lets cold air leak through. At first it seemed like Home Depot had my back and even contacted Feather River for me to get me a new adjuster. Which is great but my brother and I dont know how to install the new adjuster and Home Depot said they have a tutorial for me, but it seems like sending an email would take too much of their time. 2 stars for making an attempt to provide help but not following through. My brother and father in law both wanted the same door until this happened. (Update Feather River sent us a new thresh hold and installed myself)."
"DO NOT GO HERE. At least not for fence installation. These people are morons who clearly only care about getting there 8 hours in while putting in as little effort as possible. I went to the store and talked with a lady who took all of my information to put in their computer system (model of fence I wanted, yard measurements, my phone and email, etc.) and she said I would be contacted by someone to get a quote and schedule installation. The type of fence I wanted would also have to be ordered, since it wasn't normally stocked, which is fine. After a few days I finally get a call from another lady who says "so what do you want?" Well I am at work so I don't know the exact model, but didn't you already get this information? Whatever, she picked out one that was close to what I want and would send me a quote. Said she would call me back the next day to get the final information. A few days later, I've still received no call, so I call to see what's up. A lady answers and says "who have you been working with?" I say I'm not sure, because I've talked to a couple different people. Didn't my information get entered a couple times now? I tell her I have my quote number, but she just says no, give me your number and I'll call you back later. Surprise! A few days later I still haven't gotten a call back, so I'm getting pretty angry. I decided to give them one more chance, and I ask to speak to a manager this time, hoping to get my installation scheduled. The manager was little help, takes my name and number and says "I'll have them call you today for sure". The reason I'm calling the manager is because I don't want to deal with the associates anymore! However, I do get a call back, with a lady who asks if I would like to schedule my installation. YES! Great! She says they have time on Thursday (this was Tuesday), so I schedule that day and take off work to be there when they install. I give her the model of fence that I originally wanted, but then she tells me they don't have this one. I said that I knew it might have to be ordered, but she just says "I'll pick one in stock that is close to it". What?? Whatever, at this point I just really need a fence installed. Thursday rolls around (again I've taken off work for this), and it's a company from the area that they contract to do the installation of the fence (which I knew ahead of time and have had no troubles with them, just Home Depot). A man shows up, unfortunately not to install my fence, but to take measurements and determine what type of fence I want. What was the point of me working with the Home Depot employees and giving them this information numerous times? Again, not it's fence that will have to be ordered, and will take at least 4 weeks to get here. So it took TWO WEEKS for someone from Home Depot to just give this company a call???? My fence order could have been scheduled right away and already have been two weeks into the lead time. Ridiculous. I should have just skipped the worthless middle man and went straight to the local fence installers. UPDATE: After 3 weeks of waiting for my fence to be ordered and arrive, it turns out that NOTHING had been started, because I didn't put down my deposit. No one ever told me I had to put down a deposit. I read through the contract that was sent via email (with the message "here is your contract" and that's it) and all it said was that the price must be paid in full by the final day of installation. I have since decided to forget Home Depot and go for an alternative route. I talked to a neighbor of mine, and he went through the exact same thing trying to get a garage door installed."
