"In 2020 I started going to Stein’s monthly. I found great plants, BUT in the last year, I’ve become majorly disappointed. I noticed the plants had webbing and pests on them. It would be one thing if it was a couple plants but it’s basically taken over all of the plants now. I actually mentioned something to an employee last year in hopes that they’d do something about it. I’m a customer and would love to keep buying from Steins BUT I cannot be bringing home big infested plants. The thought of all of those plants going to waste and other customers bring them home to infect their plants is awful. I used to always see the workers taking care of the plants. Now I never see them around the plants. I can hear the employees talking in the back about their personal lives but no one tending to the plants which are infested!! I’m only writing this review in hopes that they throw out all of their infested plants and soak that entire area to actually get rid of the infestation. Maybe actually get healthy plants again!! I also don’t wanna see people who may not know about pests ruin their collection. Please do better steins! I wanna buy more plants!"

"Put up a promotion for cash rebate but couldn't honor it. The cashier told me to swipe my credit card first and then the manager would come and give me the rebate. That did not happen. After I swiped and checked out the parts, the manger showed up and said they can't do the rebate because of the issue of the supplier, blah blah. If you knew you couldn't do the rebate, then don't put up the promotion and don't tell the customer to swipe first. That's just not honest."

"This location is closer to my home but I prefer to go to the west bend location because they have a much better array of houseplants in way better condition. (despite corporate deciding what goes where) Both locations should take a lesson in what sells and bring back their isle long plant pot inventory...after both locations were pretty thin with the 20% off and pass THAT on to corporate. They have a bug infestation inside. Buyer beware at home if you get something. They don't have a knowledgeable person taking care of the inside plants and a shelving unit with victims discounted is way at the end of the natural flow of the isle. It was ridiculously busy on a tuesday morning. So much so that their need for new hires was illuminated by the line AND the huge sign. Most of this was seen a year ago. I only returned to see if they had more pots then the west bend location. Both were hit hard but this one a little less."
