About the Business
The League of Women Voters of Dane County is a nonpartisan organization located at 720 Hill Street in Madison, Wisconsin. Our mission is to encourage informed and active participation in government.
Please note that tickets for our Lively Issues Luncheon on April 13 are SOLD OUT. However, tickets for the performance of Forward Theater Co.’s What the Constitution Means to Me are still available until April 3.
Additionally, there are two proposed amendments to the state constitution regarding election administration on the April 2 ballot. Our forum will discuss the procedure for amending the state constitution, the language being proposed, and the potential effects if these amendments are passed.
Question 1 on the April 2 ballot would amend the WI constitution to prohibit private donations or grants from funding elections. Our speakers will explain the state League’s position against this measure.
