"A great place to pause on your trek. Sit, relax, enjoy the huge trees, and fill your water bottle. Enjoy nature at it's finest."
"Great spot for a rest after a long hike."
"I've been here a few times and it was hot and filled with mosquitos. Lol. There are bathrooms and running water though. Better then as lot of camp sites I've been to with the Scouts because of the amenities. The hike in from PCH is about 4.5 miles and very flat and easy. Just bring water! The camp site it pretty big and go flat. There's also a bunch of places to hang a hammock if you have one. Highly recommended. I loved a night hike and seeing all the stars despite the light pollution. Much better then being in downtown Los Angeles! Lol."
"Accessible from either side, Sycamore Canyon campground or Rancho Sierra Vista, this is a great spot to have a picnic or take a break and use the facilities. This spot could be reserved to camp overnight by contacting State Parks. Excellent for group or family camping, this site has running water, restrooms and showers. The area is home to some of the best trails in LA, great for hiking, mountain biking or horse back riding."
"Kind of a remote country park, with some nice big oaks, picnic tables, fresh water, toilets...very peaceful spot, about halfway between the beach and Newbury Park. Only problem is that in the residence there , there is a dog that barks sometimes, it was barking at me for awhile, kinda wrecks the mood but oh well. The whole canyon (and beyond) is classic California, with lots of native plants and grasses, streams, big sycamore and oak trees, some kind of wild parrots (beautiful green birds, in at least one large flock of 80-100 birds)... you can hike to a very pretty beach and camping area...you could spend weeks or months exploring this wild area of the coast...and best of all is that few people are around at least during weekdays.."
