"A beautiful day for a hike and chose this location for a new adventure to see if there were any Spring time blooms to enjoy. Parking for Big Tree Trailhead was on the side of the gravel road but it was not an issue since there were not a lot of hikers for the day. The trail is enjoyable and there are a few brief steep inclines. It's about 3 miles to get to the top where the largest redwoods are along with a good view of Navato and beyond. From ferns to wildflowers to redwoods to birds chirping to lizards scurrying across the trail, a very enjoyable hike for Earth Day."

"It’s a beautiful roller coaster trails with the wonder view of Novato city. The highest peak where the Big Tree is 1,500 ft. It’s advance level hiking , 14 miles and 2,000’ of elevation gain. If you like long distance with height challenge, this is the hike for you. Enjoy !"

"Living the Big Trees Trail...no matter how often I hike it. Awesome view over Novato and Mt.Burdell from the top and almost all shaded making it a great hike on a hot day. Around 10 nice redwood trees up here."
