Don Johnson's Pool & Spa

"They come weekly to ‘clean’ the pool, yet it’s ranges from Horrible service to NO service. I’ve lost count of the amount of times these guys have let our pool become filled with algae and unusable. They come weekly, yet the pool is yet again unusable this week. When the usual guy got injured, earlier this year, the new technician they sent was not told where the key to get into the pool was - and so they simply *didn’t service the pool for *three weeks, leading to another huge algae bloom! Why wasn’t there basic communication, there? Meanwhile, my landlord was still being charged for weekly visits by automatic payments. Do not waste your money. Find someone who actually offers the service you’re paying for."

"Stay away from this company, we were looking for a quote to replace our pump, they send someone to give us a price. It was supposed to be a free estimate, he checked our equipment and our filters. Meanwhile, he decided to rinse our filters (we never requested for this cleaning he basically said I am going to rinse your filter, he didn't ask if we want this or not and he didn't discuss the fee). He left and someone from office was supposed to give us a price for pump replacement, and we got a bill for filter cleaning!!!! Not to mention we had another company cleaning our filters couple of days before his arrival and we were ONLY looking for a competitive price for pump replacement. This is crazy!! We still didn't receive our proposal for pump replacement!!!"

"I just terminated Don Johnson who had been maintaining 3 family pools in Marin for approximately 2 years. Without getting into the gory details, the new maintenance company discovered evidence of neglect all locations that will cost nearly $1,000 to remedy. My experience with their routemen leads me to believe that they are allowed to operate without proper training. Be aware that this is the "civil version" of my observations. Had I known then what I now know, I would never have hired Don Johnson. Caveat emptor!"

"Always very helpful! When I purchased a new spa and had no idea how to properly keep the water properly balanced the staff at Don Johnson's were always very helpful. I went in there several times with my little bottle of sample water from my spa to have them check it. With there guidance I eventually got it all figured out."
