Reviews
"My daughter has seen Dr. Gray for 5-10 years now as her primary MD. She’s been nothing but kind and compassionate to both Paige and I. I’m in the medical field and have always trusted her medical judgement. Her office staff is welcoming."
"We were recently assigned to Dr. Gray after our pediatrician moved on and this was our second annual visit with her. I was stunned when I got a surprise large bill for the annual visit. Apparently when the dr. asks "is there anything you want to talk about?" whatever is mentioned will be billable and is considered outside the annual visit parameters. I was under the impression the topic was part of the annual visit and not an extra expense (as its always been with previous pediatricians that we’ve had). She should be transparent and explain during the visit that what she will be doing will be entered as additional and therefore billed so that patients have the option to refuse. This felt very shady. Looking at the previous review here, looks like this is a reoccurring behavior. If you’re looking for a new pediatrician, keep looking! I’m not sticking around to see how many times she will do this to us and switched my children to a different pediatrician the next day."
"While clinically, Dr. Gray’s abilities are as expected. We were most displeased with the lack of transparency with her billing/insurance process which, as the doctor, she is 100% responsible. In essence, we were double charged for an annual wellness check in which she asked two additional questions (constipation and a minor topical infection). These questions/conversations added no additional time to the 15 minutes she spent with us. This rating is an indictment of the poor communication we received as the patient. According to the practice manager at Southwest Pediatrics she “is familiar with our concern.” While this practice may be the “new” normal; we find it very unethical."
"Starting all over as a foster mother, Cares for Kids led me to Dr. Gray. I have been very pleased at how compassionate and caring she is for my child. Never difficult getting my child in for routine exams or illness. She has advocated for my child’s health connecting us with specialists. I highly recommend this pediatrician!"
"If I could give this doctor and Southwest pediatrics a zero I would. We were brand new patients. I was not given a choice on who my doctor would be, I was merely assigned Dr. Gray. She was not friendly or welcoming or looked me or my children in the eye. She was very text book giving the obvious information, such as make healthy choices, no personal insight. My son who suffers from anxiety was made to feel as if he was fat because his BMI was 1 over. I asked to be switched to another doctor in the group and Southwest refused. I was appalled that as a parent I do not have a right to pick a good fit for my children. I was willing to stay at Southwest as this was our very first visit and I just was not comfortable with my experience. They misplaced the records I had sent and I had to fill out all new forms. They scheduled an appointment wrong and Dr. Gray refused to add a med check into the physical even though she had done everything a med check involved and it was Southwest's error. The practice took no accountability and was not apologetic at all. The head doctor Patti Young refused to let my children be seen by another doctor at Southwest claiming that the doctors ban together and will NOT accept each other's patients. What? I was brand new, I was not given a chance or an opportunity to find a doctor that I felt fit. Southwest bullied me out of their practice and I was forced to find another doctor farther from my home. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my entire life and these are doctors who are suppose to value patient care and relationships! Their bios are false advertising. Do not give this practice your business!"
