"I have had my taxes done at VerBout three years in a row now, but this year was my last. I scheduled my appointment for February 24th (I am confident in this as it was repeated back to me), but when I arrived I was informed that my appointment was actually March 24th. I imagine that since the days of those months are the same, the receptionist either told me or recorded it incorrectly. I will give credit with this situation, however, as my preparer nicely “squeezed me in” so I wouldn’t have to come back. There was an item that needed to be double checked by my preparer, so I left the appointment *already having paid* but waiting on an email of confirmation. I reached out after about 6 weeks and received no response. A week later, I called and left a message with the receptionist and was promised an email by the end of the week. That email never came. After calling again the following week, I finally did reach my preparer who had the answer, but had never emailed me. Overall I have lost confidence in my preparer and this business as a whole. My taxes were done adequately to my knowledge, but I won’t be returning next year."
