"Dr. Sakti Chakrabarti had some great qualities, which I'll explain lower below and it's the reason I'm giving him higher than a 1 star. But after going to Akron City Hospital where my brother died - they told me Chakrabarti made alot of mistakes. I can't disrespect what Sean went through in the last 45 days to give him higher than 2 stars. We know Sean was sick and his cancer wasn't going to go away. But even though getting CT and MRi scans it seemed monthly by Universty Hospital.. Green Emergency Room found spots in his brain months after his successful brain surgery. An Emergency room?? Which is why he needed a second set of radiation. Sean told me multiple times that he told Chakrabarti he started having back pain for months. He went from cutting the lawn to not being able to walk 6 steps to the bathroom and if when he did he would be breathing like he ran a marathon. You should have caught the 2nd set of spots in his brain. Not an Emergency room? If he didn't go to that Emergency room his brain would have been riddled with cancer as his spine was. Universty Hospital gave him CT and MRI scans constantly. Plus we lived 1.5 hours away. Sean told you he had back pain. Most people don't go to a doctor between 1 & 4 times a week and you still missed it? After finally admitting/finding tumors, cancer, all over his back... Chakrabarti gave him 5 milligrams of Oxycodone. 5 milligrams every 6 hours. We were timing those out, plus giving him ibuprofen In-between. He was at a 6-8 pain level out of 10 daily. That Oxycodone worked for 2 hours before he went from uncomfortable to screaming in pain. Sean went from being in pain when walking to not being able to walk plus when going to Universty Hospital when checking in seeing his breathing wasn't as strong - The check in person said you might need oxygen. That's the check in person!? Chakrabarti/Universty Hospital kept pushing forward with treatment and not comfort for a patient dying. He kept telling my brother he had "some more tricks" we can do. So we assumed Sean was where he was for the last 6 years. He never gave us any warning of let's transition to comfort ... because there's no money in that. Sean was a money maker for Universty Hospital. He was a high level earner. Living 1.5 hours away and his pain level and health declining, Sean was still sold treatment and a bag of tricks. Sean was set up for radiation in his spine. But yet another CT/MRI scan. $$$ Never doing anything about his declining breathing. 2 days later.. Yet another Green Emergency Room visit, now because of breathing and he was at 50% breathing capacity. Akron City Hospital told me as Sean was on an oxygen tank when he could still talk. Why was he ONLY on 5 milligrams of Oxycodone for this, he should have been on more for the pain!?!? Why are you and Sean talking about radiation, moving forward ... he's at the end. If had another chemotherapy treatment he'd die because he's so weak. Sean should have transition from treatment to comfort awhile ago. As I was saying my goodbyes to Sean, the doctor talked to me in the hallway said "I don't like talking bad about other doctors but he wasn't good." ... " I never say a bag of tricks, this isn't a magic show" ... " He should have focused on his pain management and that 5 milligrams Oxycodone didn't do anything!" I actually like Sakti Chakrabarti. He would personally call me or my brother Sean within an hour or 2. He had some great attributes. He was my favorite out of my brother Sean's doctors. But he let Sean suffer at the end. Akron City Hospital ripped him apart on pain management and ignoring his breathing problems."
