"Nancy, a boss?, claimed I owed Lyft $12 over a long period -a couple of years- for instances when I "didn't pay for my rides." I always pay for my rides. She managed to put me in the wrong because she said there was more than one instance of my so-called non-payment. WHY WASN'T I INFORMED OF THIS AT THE TIME OF EACH RIDE?? WHY WAS I TOLD 2 YEARS LATER??? BE SURE TO GET A DATED RECIEPT FOR EACH RIDE THEY GIVE YOU! Receipts DO matter. They're your only proof if they fling this sh-t at you years later out of left field. BEAR IN MIND THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED $2 FOR A "NO SHOW. I wasn't informed of this, either. ALSO, you need to tell them EXACTLY which door to wait at and whether it's in the front or back of your building. One unpleasant old man was waiting at the back of the building NEXT DOOR TO MINE, instead of in front, like I told Lyft. It was his mistake, yet he REFUSED to drive to mine. I, a handicapped old lady, had to walk over to him. (Most of the drivers are very nice.) Another time, I got a brain-dead driver that GAVE ME THE WRONG CALL BACK NUMBER - HIS OWN NUMBER - HE DIDN'T KNOW HIS OWN NUMBER! It was Friday after the office was closed. Luckily he was still waiting in the parking lot. On Monday I called Lyft to mention this. Nancy answered and blew me off because the brain-dead driver had quit. Be aware that drivers are told not to help you carry in your groceries, etc, so plan for that. Some kind drivers do so anyway. Be warned, Nancy, is surly, truculent and nasty; don't even THINK of confronting her; she only gets worse. You cannot win with her; don't waste your breath. It's nice that this service exists but you'd best beware. Get everything CRYSTAL clear, and INSIST on reciepts from these people if you want smooth sailing using their "service". If you need to call a driver back and you have a mobile phone, you might try calling the number the driver has given you while you're in the car with him/her to be sure it works. It's OCD, but see above re: brain-dead driver."
