"Shell Beach is an absolute gem that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its sheer beauty and tranquil ambiance. This hidden paradise is truly a dream destination that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. This is just one of the many beaches along La Jolla / San Diego coast that deserves a 5 star rating!"
"Small strip of sand that has a steep staircase leading down a cliff into a small cove. The cliff is worn from the ocean and at low tide there are tide pools full of hermit crabs and crabs, and all their tiny shells line the shore. Very beautiful."
"This is a really nice little beach. I watched folks taking some really nice pictures along the shore, and especially the caves or crevices that are cut into the rocks. You can overlook the beach and area surrounding from the top where there is a nice little viewing hut. I found this to be a nice option because to access the beach, you must walk down a long concrete staircase. The down side is then you must walk back up the long concrete staircase to climb back up. Just a really nice little beach."
"Love the area. Love waking along the path enjoying the views and the seals/sea lions are awesome! Great little park to relax in with vendors surrounded by beautiful rows of palm trees."
"She'll beach is a beauty. There are lots of rock formations in the cliff and wildlife in the sea. Most sea lions go to La Jolla Cove but you may catch one or two around this beach. Be careful going down because it's a steep. Restrooms are available in the nearby park."
