"This park is an exceptional place to relax and watch the whales, orca, dolphins, pelicans, seal, and sea lions. There is plenty of green space and vendors. This is a pet friendly park. Also, right up the hill, there are plenty of shops, boutiques, and restaurants. Beware of the parking. Make sure you are only parking in authorized parking spaces."

"We love this park. Such a magnificent, unique opportunity to see and hear wildlife up close. Such a bummer though that the curiosity of humans makes them have this incessant need to be even closer. We felt bad for the seals and sea lions. Have we learned nothing from history, folks? Give them their space. The park is clean, beautiful and well maintained. Park on the street for free. Come early to get a space or just park further away and walk to the park."

"Visiting this park right on La Jolla was amazing. We were able to stand by the rail and see so so many sea lions basking in the rays. Some were even fighting. The lifeguard on call warned everyone at the shore to stay away, though. It was amazing to see during our short visit to SD. There are green patches and some benches, perfect for a family stroll, picnics, frisbee, etc. Sunsets here are amazing. Keep in mind, you will have to drive around a couple times to get lucky with street parking. Only bad thing is that I wouldn’t recommend the public bathrooms here. The women’s bathrooms were in deplorable condition! Otherwise, a must for your SD trip!"
