"Beautiful area in Humboldt which is undersold!!! The parking area is a little difficult to get into and the road could use an uplift. But once there, nature really takes over and if you love the outdoors, this will check most of your boxes. Multiple trails to the ocean. Be ware that some are flooded. The exhibits are very well done and the viewing area with binoculars is a nice touch."
"I learned a lot about the coastal dunes! This was a great little hike that eventually takes you down to the ocean. You get to go through Sandy dunes then through a small forest. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped point out a lot of different birds. This place is great for kids and adults. I had a great time."
"Hidden gem. Nature center is down a bumpy single lane road. Missed it the first time and had to loop back around to find it. The center itself wasn't super impressive. Few displays about history of building, and some info about local wildlife. Behind center is a path leading down to the beach. They're actively removing non native plants, to encourage more diversity. The beach was really quiet."
"Excellent dune trails, variety of terrain. Picnic tables, interpretive center, restrooms, ADA parking, and some equestrian trails. Good parking. Must visit and walk along tall sand dunes, walk along beautiful beach, full of shells. Fun for families."
