"Unfortunately just before we were ready for guests coming on Friday we noticed bumble bees coming and going from our attic. We had wondered why we had found several of them inside our house over the past couple weeks. My wife called and talked to Maria. She was very pleasant and accommodating and after doing some checking and calling around, she had us set up for "someone" to come out between 8:00AM - 10:00AM the next morning. Well, the next morning at 7:30AM we got a call from Edgar Amagan. He told us where he was, what he was doing, and what he had to do in route to us. He gave an ETA of between 8:00 and 8:15AM. I thought to myself there was no way this man was going to be able to do what he said, but sure enough...at 8:12 our doorbell rang and Edgar was there just as he said. We discussed the problem and I showed him on the outside where I could see them going in the very high gable vent on our sloped side yard. I showed Edgar where the attic access was in the garage which was quite a ways down a dark attic with the buzz of bumbles present. He went out to his truck, got on the appropriate gown, and crawled up in the attic. It must have been quite a crawl in bee gear because I've gone about half as far as he did in regular clothes and boy...even that was quite an effort. He went in, removed the hive, and sprayed around inside and out. He came back out and explained what was going on and how these bees work (they leave the hive in the morning, and come back in the evening, etc.). He showed me with his hands about how big the hive was, and explained that the screen over the inside of the gable vent was missing and should be repaired right away. I had figured I would need to replace the screen when I had seen bees coming and going. After a discussion he insisted on going back up there and making a temporary repair while waiting for me to get the time to buy parts and get the deed done (it would have taken me a few days...and I'm worried because I know I'm allergic to honey bee stings and have no idea about bumble bee stings). I got him some cardboard, and my staple gun and he went all the way back in with out even a little question. He said he put a triple layer of cardboard and said that we should be fine for a year. I will probably go back up there in the morning in a month or two (before it gets too hot) with the screening material. Edger was really polite, seemed VERY knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. If I ever have another issue with bugs, you betcha - I know who I'm going to call and it ain't Ghost Busters!
