"Wife had an appointment today Thursday, 6 am for a colonoscopy. Parking lot is big enough for the various Hoag Health Center buildings at this location. They open right at 6 am. The staff and doctors were very kind, very attentive, and professional. My wife mentioned, Kelly (One of the nurses) and Dr. Lee. My wife was very well taken care of."

"VERY EFFICIENT ! I drove my my wife to this medical center early this morning for her Endoscopy appointment at 7am. NOT A LOT OF FUN ! My wife had to fast ( no brekkie ) before the procedure and had a sore throat afterwards. Dr Matthew Oman was the Gastroenterologist who took care of my wife. I received a phone call from the center at around 8.30am to come and pick up my wife. STAY TUNED !"

"Waited about 45 min from when they told me to arrive to be seen. Would have been nice to get some text or email notifications about the exam date. Fortunately I kept the information pages they gave me at my original consultation. The overall experience with the nurses (Camille), anesthesiologist (Dr. Asher) and GI doctor (Dr. Bemanian) were excellent."

"Called for 2 weeks straight to get an estimate out of pocket amount for my upper endoscopy. Nobody wanted to answer the question, they said I'll get a phone call 1 day before the procedure. When i called my insurance, the estimates they could give me are north of $3500( because that's my maximum out of pocket). Mostly due to their astronomical facility fee of $8000) of which I'd have to pay 20%of, plus all the other countless fees. If you cancel less than 2 or 3 days before the procedure, you have to pay a $200 fee, so by them only giving me this information 1 day before, i am forced to pay the cancellation fee if i cannot afford the procedure. What a joke. It's cheaper to fly to Europe to a top hospital and get this done + get a vacation in, than do this (simple?!) Procedure here . And i have great health insurance. How is this ok?"

"Well the overall 2 star rating for this place is super accurate… maybe even a little generous. First off, I never heard from anyone regarding my procedure so I finally called to check what was going on. They gave me some preparation instructions and told me to arrive at 1:00pm. Secondly, I kept getting texts saying my appointment was at 1:30pm and then in the app, it said 2:30pm. I called back and was assured that it was 1:00pm. I arrived at 1:00pm and told my check-in wasn’t until 1:30pm…. So I spent an extra 30 anxiety-ridden minutes. I’d rather wait at home where I’m more comfortable. We’ll see what time I actually have my procedure, but I suspect I was actually scheduled for 2:30pm, not 1:00pm. Thirdly, they require you have a driver (which makes sense), but literally has no where for your driver to go. Giving 2 stars because the girl that checked me in was really friendly. Update to 3 stars. The procedure itself went really well and was on-time. The Drs and Nurses were really kind and helpful. There was miscommunication between my husband who was picking me up and front desk since the front desk didn’t tell them he was there waiting for me."
