"Blood draw experience was lowkey traumatizing. The guy stabbed my vein way harder than necessary, still missed, and had to do my other arm. In addition to this, he had poor bedside manner and was rushing me to leave after the draw when in fact it all took all of 2 min. I was told to wait 10-15 min before the blood draw so I answered a phone call right when called my name (3 min into waiting). I walked back while telling the person on the other line I would need to call them back and he kept talking over me while I was telling that person that: “name, date of birth” before we even got in the room. Super rude and acted like he was so busy when I was literally his only blood draw appointment."
"I hadn’t regularly seen a physician for the past 10 years. I started going to One Medical about a month ago and I’m really happy with the care that I have received. I see Dr. Clegg and I feel heard and cared about. She doesn’t just want to put a bandaid on an issue, she wants to solve the root cause. I never feel rushed through appointments. In fact, during my first appointment, Dr. Clegg made me laugh! She said, “we’ve got 10 minutes left, want to knock out your pap today?”! I can’t imagine getting this level of care anywhere else. Previous gyno appointments have taken up to two hours of my day (mostly sitting in waiting rooms because they are behind). Since my appointment, my doctor emails me to explain test results and answers any questions I have. Overall, this doctor has made me want to be more involved in preventative care in the future. The office is very nice with a modern design. The front desk staff is knowledgeable and kind. They stick to appointment times and don’t waste your time. I was very impressed with the lab techs. I have deep veins that are difficult to find. It was no problem and the process was smooth and easy. I’ve had my blood drawn twice and it was painless both times!"
"Astonished with how poor of an experience I’ve had at One Medical. Highly recommend avoiding at all costs. 1. I had an 8am appointment and was told to arrive 5 minutes early. When I did, the front doors were locked. They finally let me in. One of their selling points is that they start on time and you don’t need to wait. Yet, as I was waiting, the physician I was seeing walked in after 8am. 2. I came in for my annual but spent the majority of the time answering questions that could have been answered with the full medical history record I sent ahead of time. There was barely any actual physical assessment (I believe I had my blood pressure and temperature checked but that was it). I was told I’d need to make another appointment if I wanted to get my annual pap or breast exam. Throughout the appointment the doctor seemed frazzled (probably because she was running late). I will be disputing an annual visit code with my health insurance because this was nothing close. 3. I had to get lab work done. Turns out their plumbing was broken so they were unable to take urine samples. The recommendation they provided was to take the cup and “go to a nearby business” to collect the sample. Uh what? My other alternatives were to either come in on another day or take the cup home with me and return later. Considering the appointment was already getting close to an hour long at this point and I needed to get to work, I opted for bringing it home and returning same day (note: had to return by 4 because that’s when their lab closed) 4. It’s been over two weeks and I’ve still yet to receive my detailed lab results after contacting them 5 different times. This is insane. 5. I had a question for the physician that she responded back with a question that made me panic. I talked to another non one medical provider who was astonished that she would ask it in the way that she did because it was clear that it was an unlikely situation and, even if it was something to check, it should have been delivered in a way that didn’t cause panic. I tried One Medical because my company provides it as a perk. I’ve never had a worse experience than the experience I’ve had with One Medical and I would highly encourage anyone interested to find an alternative if they want competent, comprehensive, and responsive care."
"I’ve been going to one medical for years (mostly in NYC), and this by far the worst location out of 6 I’ve been to. I went in for a few minor things - acid reflux, allergies/throat issues and some persistent foot pain. Dr. Lee asked me the same questions over and over again, and that was when I started to get the feeling he didn’t really know how to get to a proper diagnosis or what to ask. All of this was meh but not terrible. The reason I’m giving this practice 1 star is because I asked Dr Lee for some advice and insight since I was always feeling tired, nauseous, run down. He literally cut me off and said I would need to make another appointment to talk about it when there was time. Can’t believe a doctor at a private practice with a required membership talked to me like that, let alone any doctor in general. I find the doctors in LA are not top tier compared to NYC, but for even low expectations I thought that was absurd. I left feeling like I never want to step foot in that office again. Every time I’ve been to that one medical I leave feeling dissatisfied, but this time I had to write a review. To add to it, he didn’t even look up my file and see we’d met before, that he actually did a minor surgical procedure on me to remove a birth control arm implant. I’m not expecting him to know every patient he sees in and out, but I expect a little more than “nice to meet you” when he’s met with me twice and performed a surgery on me. And that didn’t go well either - he started cutting into my arm to remove that birth control implant before the numbing medicine started working. All in all, just don’t go to this location. The one in Beverly Hills on wilshire is better."
