"Wawona is haunted and the staff will tell you everything that happens in that hotel. It’s very much family oriented they have a game room and a huge fire place when you walk in where all the quest sit around and hang out. The food is excellent, great chef."
"A beautiful hotel on the edge of Yosemite. Rooms were quaint but modernized and quiet. The claw foot tub in the bathroom was so nice! Grounds were immaculate, and the staff was friendly. Big fireplace and piano player at night in the lobby. The restaurant was upper scale but somewhat overpriced. The server, who has worked in Yosemite for 40 years, was first class!"
"Location, location, location! This hotel is great if you want to visit the Mariposa Grove. The rooms are nice, no tv, super hot water, I know this place was build in the early 1900’s and sound proofing wasn’t available but you can hear EVERYTHING! The reason I give 4 stars, is because you don’t have many options for food. The restaurant is nice but the food? So, so, it takes forever to come out and it’s over priced. I know you can drive 55 min to the Valley or to next town. But overall is good place to stay for a few nights."
"Shared bathrooms were flooded - guess what? NO SHOWER!! Front desk cancelled part of reservation and left some of us homeless. Barely any service: 5pm checkin, breakfast ends at 10, lunch at 1:30, despite the website saying otherwise. WiFi doesn’t work from rooms. Rooms stink!! Rooms have shared door to next room and you can hear everything whispered perfectly, including toilet activities. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. It’s all about the location, otherwise these $300 rooms are only worth $80 since they dont have bathrooms"
"OK… This is a good location outside of Yosemite Valley. It is a historic hotel however, it is not a destination. This a hotel that will be a great place to sleep and have breakfast and return for dinner and bed. There’s a central bathroom for all of the rooms that while not something most people are accustomed to it was not bad for our family and my elderly father. If you’re staying at the park, my recommendation is to stay in the valley however, if that’s not an option, this is a good place to stay."
