"I can't speak for the entire practice (and the owner was quite nice about a billing issue at one point), but I'd say that if you make it through the lengthy waiting list and happen to get placed with Ellie, I'd highly recommend asking for someone else or looking elsewhere. I was hopeful with her at first and even ignored some early red flags, such as her asking me to explain my goals for therapy multiple times over because she kept forgetting what they were. I even returned after she thought in a previous session that an important member of my family who is ill was already dead even though I'd explained, in each of the times I'd re-stated my therapy goals, that the current circumstances with that family member was something I wanted to work through. The last session I had with her made me look all the red flags in the face when she quickly moved off of two topics I brought to the table that day (after she asked what I wanted to talk about). When I asked why that had happened, she just gave some vague answer that didn't make sense to me. And when I finally explained all of this to her and told her these were some of the reasons I didn't feel like therapy with her was going to work, she seemed to just shrug it all off, not even apologizing for thinking that my family member was already dead. This was a very disappointing experience to say the least."
