"My 2nd grader currently attends HBCP. He’s in school from 7:30am-3:45pm daily. 1. That’s quite a bit of time for them to be in school and expect them to actually focus. 2. For them to be in school that long, they DEFINITELY shouldn’t have the amount of homework that they do on a daily basis. My child is very active with sports and other extra curricular activities so most days it’s nearly impossible to finish the homework assigned. Furthermore they send home full ass packets for the kids to do over the weekend. CHILL! Kids need to be kids. And enjoy the break. Not be in school 24/7 that’s ridiculous and taxing on the parents as well as the students. It’s bad enough they don’t have recess and a short lunch from what I’m told. Although I love having my son around POC. I’m not sure it’s worth it, and am thinking of pulling him from the school. Please do better. I had to take my son out of Cello Lessons just because we weren’t finishing his homework every night smh. *I saw a 15 page math packet that was sent home with my son over the weekend and I swear as soon as I saw it I wanted to rip it in two. But I decided to write this review. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because I’m sure there’s schools out there that are worse."

"Horrible School... They Do not Prepare your Scholar for the real world. 6th grade did not Prepare my Daughter for 7th grade. Now she in public school and she struggled in the beginning, she told me how all 6th grade they did nothing. Sad! If the teachers don't like you they pick on you, My baby was being bullied they did nothing. 5th grade teacher hated my other child so she picked on her graded test wrong, so that my baby wouldnt make honor roll. Now She is doing Awesome in the New District. Principal needs to go back to being a 2nd grade teacher!! Honestly it's like a lil prison."

"DO NOT let your kids go to this school. they are too strict the teachers and the principal is too rude. it's 47 degrees right now and they made the kids take off their jackets if they don't say hardy brown on them. I paid $30 for my son's sweater had his named sewed on it and someone still stole it. I refuse to buy another one but my son has to pay the price of being cold even though he has perfectly good brand new sweater he can't wear. the other thing I see wrong with this school is these kids have way too much homework. I don't mind homework. I'm all for it but these kids are in school 8 hours a day they get one recess and a ton of homework. im sorry but im a working parent and i don't want to do 2 hours of homework after work noe does my child when he gets home from school. I know all of this may sound petty but it all adds up. these are just a few issues I have with this school. they can do much better and be a bettwe school. my son hates this school and he is 5. I am taking him out."

"Very unorganized school. Children aren't able to have a recess and barely given lunch and breakfast. They should replace Principal Tanya Allen maybe they could become more organized and bring in more children instead of running them off."

"This is a excellent school, the staff are great and understanding! The teachers are just marvelous! My daughter attends this school and my son will be joining as soon as his old enough. If you're looking for a excellent school in San Bernardino I would really recommend hardy brown!"
