"If you are reading this review, it is likely that you are looking for a specialist because you have been told that your child may have, or has, a developmental delay or other condition, and you are seeking expert help. First off, I want to offer my condolences. I have been there. You have a hard path ahead of you. But, second off -- there is a lot of cause to be extremely hopeful, especially if you are lucky enough to have Dr. Josh Mandelberg on your team of caregivers for your child. We first went to see Dr. Josh for two different kids in the late summer of 2011. Those were dark days, and we had a lot of fear for the future. It is not an exaggeration to say that Dr. Josh became our guide through the darkness, shining light on a path for us to follow -- and that path has led us to a very happy place today. When you go to Dr. Josh, he does an extremely thorough review and evaluation of your child -- everything from medical exam to developmental exam. He considers every angle. He is on the cutting edge of *proven* treatments. He suggested genetic testing for one of my kids and based on the results, we have had a treatment the results for which have been impressive. He is always available to answer questions and to appear on your child's behalf. (I have his personal cell phone number and he made himself available to talk even on his personal vacation.) He wrote to LAUSD for us, and also attended a Regional Center meeting. When at those appearances, he is very careful in his words, and his words carry great weight as a result.
