"Every experience I have had with Monticello Vet has been absolutely top notch. I had an elderly Australian Shepherd that had chronic pancreatitis which flared up while with our dog sitter. Our normal vet could not make space to see him, but Monticello took him in without being a standing patient. They called often to check on him, and our dog sitter to make sure they had the support needed. He passed in January 2024, and Monticello sent us the most touching condolence card afterwards. I cannot express my surprise that they would do that with a patient they saw twice. We got a new puppy from Yolo County ASPCA recently, and the only vet we would consider is Monticello. I know they will treat her with the same care, compassion, and kindness they showed my old boy. Thank you Monticello team!"
"Praise God I was referred to Monticello! I was able to get an appointment right away for my kitty Missy. Missy was very comfortable with all the staff. I look forward to building a relationship for the care of my kitties."
"Loving and compassionate care throughout all stages of our dog’s life. We have been with MVP for several years. We had to arrange end of life services this week for our dog, and though the decision was heart breaking, we are thankful for MVP for respecting our wishes, and making the process as smooth and gentle as possible in our dog’s final days."
"I presented them a cat that had blood coming out of its mouth. She briefly looked in the cats mouth and stated she "didn't see anything but a lot of tarter on the cats teeth and that it needed a dental. She stated the cat had fleas and ear mites. The total estimate was over 700.00 for the blood work and such she wanted to do. She treated her for fleas ( I later looked and realized she didn't have , gave her an antibotics shot, and some drops on the neck for pain. The bill came to 310.00. Two days later the cat had blood majorly dripping out of her mouth. I to her to Oak Animal Hospital in Vacaville and they took her in the back and I thought originally I was going to have to put her to sleep. They took her in the back sedated her with my permission and found 3 cuts in her mouth. It took 3 sutures and the total bill was 177.00 and my cat was fine. I will never go back. I am hoping to get part of my money back but I am not holding my breath. I called and complained and was told that someone would return my call. As of the writing of this review I have yet to hear from anyone."
"I was glad to take my dog in since her original vet was booked. They did not do their job though. My poor dog has had a foxtail in her nose for the past few weeks and I mentioned that to them and they said no, that it wouldn’t be a foxtail. Thank goodness her vet here in Dixon listened and successfully removed the foxtail in my dogs nose before it could have taken a turn for the worse. They just want money and they work for us. Never again will I take my dog here again."
