"I am writing to express my deep concerns and dissatisfaction with the medical care provided by Dr. Fisher during the course of my father's treatment for cancer. From the very day he was diagnosed over Zoom, I had reservations about Dr. Fisher's approach and decisions. Initially, Dr. Fisher recommended a 4-month treatment plan for my father, which later changed to a 6-month plan. This shift in treatment length left me questioning the consistency and appropriateness of his decisions. Throughout the entire process, I felt that Dr. Fisher relied heavily on seeking advice from other doctors, making me question his ability to independently manage my father's case. Despite my numerous attempts to seek clarification and answers to my questions, I found Dr. Fisher's responses inadequate. It appeared that he was not a one-person show and lacked the ability to address all my concerns directly. A critical turning point occurred during the fifth treatment when my father's health deteriorated significantly. Despite presenting with poor vitals during an office visit, Dr. Fisher simply scheduled another MRI and sent my father home. This decision, in retrospect, seems grossly inadequate and raises serious doubts about Dr. Fisher's judgment. My attempts to obtain vital information, such as my father's vitals, from Dr. Fisher's office went unanswered. Subsequently, my father suffered a stroke just days later, which tragically led to his passing after an 11-day hospitalization. The decline in his health, particularly after being sedated post-stroke, was alarming and contradicted widely available medical knowledge. I cannot overlook the lack of accountability on Dr. Fisher's part and the shortcomings I observed at St. John's Hospital. This letter serves as a sincere effort to share my experience, with the hope that it may prompt a reevaluation of practices to prevent similar situations for other patients and their families. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against entrusting the care of a loved one to Dr. Fisher based on my unfortunate and distressing experience. S"
"He has been my oncologist for 2 1/2 years. I’m not the average patient that just does what doctors say. I am an exercise physiologist and take a very pro active and holistic approach to my own healing journey and Dr. Fischer has been so patient with me and works with me. He truly cares. He has advised me to get second opinions at times which means he can admit when he may not have all the answers but he works with all my doctors and practitioners. I’ve been dealing with ovarian cancer since 2019 and he has been amazing. I am grateful to him as this is not an easy journey. I am 53 and have been an athlete my whole life so to get cancer has been a blow. He is a wonderful human being."
"Dr Fischer diagnosed an issue that at least 5 other doctors at Cedars and UCLA missed. For that alone I am eternally grateful. His after care has been extraordinary. I feel lucky to have him as my doctor."
"Amazing doctor. Extremely knowledgeable, caring and assessable. I have know Dr. Fischer for at least six years and have enormous respect for his professional experience. I would highly recommend him and feel very fortunate to be under his care. He is the very best!"
"7.21.18- Dr. Fischer has been treating my 85 year old father for lung cancer for about 1 1/2 years now. My dad was stage III, then stage IV. Today his cancer is in remission. I know not everyone has this story, but it is always possible, so keep the faith. Dr. Fischer has been honest, caring and inspiring. He really does care about his patients and doing all he can for them to get the best possible outcome. My dad really likes him too. I don't think anyone can not like him. I don't know how he does what he does and is able to stay so positive. I would be a wreck. I highly recommend Dr. Fischer. My family and I cannot say enough good things about him."
