"Nurse Savannah Forrest BSN,RN is the best nurse ever. Lazer focused communicates well with family members anyone who has as their nurse is blessed beyond measure. Her work ethic is 5 stars for sure. Thank you Savannah for taking care of my loved one with amazing care. I'm so grateful for Savannah."
"I've been going to UCLA in Wstwood since I was 18 maybe a bit younger, never had issues with Hospital staff, nor Doctors, I've never had issues with anyone from the Surgical staff neither, pretty much I get along with everyone. Not too long ago I was in the ER all I can say is that the nurses haven't been properly taught on how to place an IV into a very tiny thin vein, every time they stuck the needle in my arm they would blow my veins, they need to be taught better and know that a larger needle is not needed for the meds or blood to go through. I went back on a different day and they gave me blood transfusion w/o allergy medication, if they had read my medical records it says I am allergic to IV infused Iron but they took it upon themselves not to give me any Claritin, by the time I got home I had a horrible rash and hives all over my body. The ER is the only place I don't like about UCLA. Someone needs to improve the ER and train the nurses better or have them do their nursing career over and go back to school. They also need to get patients that do not need to be there all day in and out, especially if they are only there for a shot or some kind of a transfusion."
"I was a patient at the Westwood Ambulatory Surgery center for a major knee surgery on July 24, 2023. This was my third knee surgery and the second surgery at this particular surgical center. I kinda know what to expect at this point in the post operative period. After the surgery I was very much in pain and was waiting to see my surgeon after the surgery to discuss how my surgery went (after all this was my third surgery on the same knee). The surgeon was tied up in another case and needed time to finish up that case and come and speak to me and I was willing to wait but the nurse insisted that I leave early without speaking with the surgeon after the surgery. She stated she will ask the surgeon to call me after he was done with his case. This was reinforced by her nurse manager/charge nurse. In fact the charge nurse that day came to me was first of all very rude and asked me to leave the surgery center asap. She then threatened to call the ambulance to take to the main hospital for an admission to the inpatient hospital if I didn't leave immediately as they didn't have enough nurses to care for me after the surgery. After all I was spoiling her nurse to patient ratio. Little did she care about me as a patient and all she cared about was her nurse to patient ratio. I requested to speak with her supervisor and this charge nurse was the supervisor and no supervisor was available to talk to me that day and no one has called to speak with me since that day (today is September 3,2023 - almost 6 weeks after the surgery). After raising much hue and cry I was able to speak with my surgeon post operatively (which did not seem like a right but a luxury that was bestowed on me because I cried to speak with the surgeon after the surgery.) In the post operative period I cried in front of these people in pain and in misery and no one seemed to care. In fact this charge nurse didn't even come back and apologize to me. When I asked her name so that I could report her, I received this generic response that we are not allowed to tell full names of the nurses, it's against company policy. In fact they stripped me of my right to even file a complaint against their rude and negligent staff. Well this goes to a 1 star review for UCLA."
"Checked in at 10:20. The lady Ruth at the front desk was a bit rude at first but I didn’t really pay mind and let it be . Then once 11:30 came around I asked how much longer it would be and she said she doesn’t know and it’s based on severity. Cool. So another 30 min go by and I have a little anxiety at this point so I ask if I’m able to take a little breather . They said it was alright but began whispering remarks as I was walking away about my anxiety and even gave a chuckle here and there . I don’t think they thought I could hear them . Then Ruth decides to place me in a room at 12:00. 12:30 comes around and I had to use the restroom . The doctor came in and left . So 1:00 rolls by and the doctor comes in and within 1 minute she gets on the phone , puts here finger right in my face and walks out for another 30 min. I took a little stroll around the ER to see if I could get some help . So Dr Alyson comes back and tells me she’s going to give me an EKG which I refused since I’ve already had a couple. So she scans me and tells me it’s probably caffeine. So I proceeded to ask for an MRI. She refused . She was talking to someone else at the time on the phone so i felt ignored. So she offered to give me a blood test but let me know it would probably be another hour to hour an d a half. Mind this …. This is what I saw when trying to talk to her . So I made the decision that if my heart would be taken seriously I would have to go to USC. I’m sorry, I usually don’t really let things bother me but this was pretty bad."
"Great facility, horrible parking. They have valet outside Ronald Reagan medical. Medical plaza is Located walking distance from Ronald Reagan medical. Restrooms are a bit limited for such s huge facility, disappointing. Also men's urinals are not waterless, what a waste of water, shame , shame, shame ucla. The regular parking is in between the 100, 200, 300 medical plaza buildings. The paid parking ($12) offers discounts with handicap placards ($8) although finding handicap parking is tough. Friendly staff. Very modern clean look. Ronald Reagan has a cafeteria with Starbucks. Prices $2 + for drinks the pastries like muffins $3 +, combos run $7 +. Chips are $1.25. Nice large seating area. Consider giving yourself two hours to get here and maybe taking side streets home if you catch rush hour after 4-5 pm. Enjoy a scenic tour through Beverly Hills. Not happy with ENT, after waiting an hour i was rushed by the doctor :-("
