"I wanted to share my recent experience at taylor veterinary clinic, particularly concerning the interaction with the staff. While I understand that as professionals, vet techs and doctors are accustomed to handling difficult situations, I was somewhat taken aback by the lack of empathy displayed during my visit. In a moment of vulnerability, when facing the news of my pet's declining health, I felt that the staff's demeanor could have been more compassionate. Despite the gravity of the situation, particularly when laughing was going on within the staff in the presence of myself and my ailing pet.Not to mentioned that I was charged $700 for my dog to be in the same condition that I brought her in or pay extra $400 to have them euthanize her. Additionally I was given the option to hospitalize her for $8000 with little hope of survival. Please do better, as people are already going through enough emotions when dealing with the health of their beloved pets."
"We took our cat to this vet after he had been in a cat fight. The initial diagnosis they gave us was that the cat was very sick and it would be best to euthanize him. That option was not even a consideration for us. Then they decided to hospitalize him to administer IVs and antibiotics through the IV. They had listed many unnecessary procedures to be performed on him that were not even related to his sickness or injury. We declined some of these items, but the bill was still skyrocketing. Since we had no choice because it was after hours, we admitted him. He ended up staying there for three days without having a physical examination or even being touched to see if they could feel anything under his skin. At this point, our cat was very defenseless and sick, and they labeled him as being aggressive towards them (I mean, he is sick, and who likes doctors or someone touching them?). Three days in, he had received no shots and no physical exam, so we had to get him out of there because each day was costing close to $950. They kept telling us he was nauseated, which is why he was drooling (they even said he might have rabies). What? So we took our cat to a reputable vet in town today. They diagnosed him with swollen lymph nodes, which were the cause of his inability to swallow, drooling, and not eating. Our bill at the new vet was 85% less. He received a steroid injection, antibiotic injection, and fluid injection, which took less than 20 minutes. Note: During our stay at Taylor Vet, we encountered two other pet owners who were also experiencing nonsense from the doctors there, who kept ramping up their vet bills to $5k. We also advised them to go to a different clinic. Needless to say, besides their lack of knowledge, the wait time is more than 5 hours, even if they tell you it's a 1-hour wait. The only pleasant person we encountered was the receptionist, Tessa. Other than that, I would give them zero stars if I could. $2500 down the drain, with no results. If I do get any response to this review from the owner, that would be because they don't want to ruin their reputation and usually respond once again with nonsense. Show love, go somewhere else! This place will kill your family member as well as hurt your pocket. They might be useful for horses and cows :)"
"I went in today because my dog injured her leg. Dr. Smith and staff were great! Friendly, calm, efficient, and thorough. Although it did take a while to be seen, the staff were very good at giving me updates and explaining/setting the expectation that it would take some time because of the amount of patients, very solid customer service skills. I thought Dr. Smith was very thorough and efficient with her time, gave us options, explained, and gave us her recommendation without rushing me to give an answer. Very different than experiences at my previous clinic. 10 out of 10, would recommend!"
"I took my fur baby Drake in today he had a horrible allergic reaction to fleas they were so nice and helpful loved the Vet and staff they made me feel so relieved because I’ve had horrible experiences with vets in the past who don’t care they just want your money! but this Vet Leslie was amazing! I recommend anyone to bring their fur baby here you won’t be disappointed they are loving and gentle this is how every Vet Clinic should be! Thank you again Taylor Veterinary Drake is feeling better "
"This was our first time at Taylor Veterinary Hospital. Our dog Echo got very sick vomiting blood and bloody diarrhea. Unfortunately, this fell on Labor Day Weekend and we had to bring him in late into the evening/morning. We called ahead and were told we wouldn't be seen till around 4am but to come now since it's first come first serve. We arrived and the front staff took our info and let us know that the veterinarian was in surgery so we waited. Once we were called into a room, Echo was taken into the back for an evaluation. Dr Brooks explained what may be going on with Echo regarding his symptoms and what test and potential treatments that will be needed. After talking with the Doctor a vet tech came into discuss different tier levels of treatments option we could take for Echo. We opted for the more aggressive treatment plan to hospitalize Echo, since I've had prior experience with my other dog having gastroenteritis and needing hospitalization. Conservative home treatment of severe vomiting and diarrhea doesn't always work and they'll likely have to come back and be hospitalized anyways, which will cost more in the long run. The pricing/quote was very accurate being upfront and transparent. Throughout Echo's hospital stay the Veterinarians on staff would call within the timeframes we were given. When we would call for updates the vet techs would inform us on his condition. We were informed throughout his stay and felt good about him being at Taylor Veterinary Hospital. This was a scary ordeal for us but the staff, doctors, and techs made us feel at ease. Everyone was so friendly that it helped make the situation feel less stressful. Front staff was excellent and went the extra mile in making sure we had our test/x-ray records from Echo's stay. We had an excellent experience here and will definitely be back if the need arises. Echo is happy to be back home recovering "
