"We were very excited to get an appointment here, the tools & layout were great, they seemed to have a lot of different areas for play, gym, games etc. The waiting room, in my opinion, was poorly maintained and uncomfortable. My daughter (3) was being treated for autism related feeding and sensory issues. Towards the end of her sessions with Lauren, she was presented with meatballs. My daughter has never eaten meat before and this had not been discussed with me prior. I could hear her say "CLEAN IT UP" & my daughter yelling and crying. She brought my daughter out of the therapy room, she had vomit in her hair and on her clothes and shoes. I was told what happened. I asked to talk with the Director, Natalie, who did not seem concerned. I was told that they take different approaches from commonly known therapies and combine them with their own style to best fit the child’s needs, and that this has been practiced for 20 years. Had this been discussed prior, I would have asked more questions. In response to your reply: My concerns have not been addressed & we still have not been referred to another facility. We were very hopeful this would be a great fit, as the facility itself has a lot to offer. It's really saddening to me how my daughter was treated. In my opinion, this incident has caused my daughter & myself great distress. I was asked to remove my review as well."
"My son has been going here for 10 years and will continue to. The 10 years in itself says, how well it's working for him. He has made tremendous improvements in each and every category that the staff has worked with him. He has done OT, PT and feeding therapy here. They work on social skills as well. Every child is different, with needs and personality and at Therasens the staff is trained to adhere to these special needs. I wouldn't trust anyone other than Therasens staff. Natalie is an amazing director, and her team is skilled in their profession. I read a few reviews here, and in my 10 years of consistent interaction and therapies, I have never had 1 bad experience. They bring out the best in every child, work from their heart and are always open to listening parents concerns."
"My son was seen here for OT and PT over the course of a year and a half. He made great progress, the therapists were friendly, he was challenged, pushed, and stretched through regular sessions in a way that allowed him to develop and grow while he had fun! The breadth of knowledge and their ability to evaluate and communicate about my concerns as a parent reassured me and sent me into other doctor’s appointments more knowledgeable and ready to ask the right questions or push for the right services. Thank you for a wonderful experience for my baby and me!"
"I can't say enough positive things about Therasens. Our daughter has attended Therasens two to three times per week for six years now (how time flies!). She started first with Natalie for about a year or two, then with Lauren, and all of our experiences have been wonderful. My daughter absolutely adores Lauren and is disappointed if we ever have to cancel our appointment! They have always gone above and beyond for us, including getting us in touch with some of the best specialists in the country. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our girl!"
"update to response: I appreciate the response however I must inform you no payment plan was ever discussed. I hate to throw someone under the bus but the employees' notes are a flat out lie. I did however request copies of the billing information since I received ZERO bills and offered to come by that day to retrieve them. The lady I spoke with said she would email them to me instead but never did. I used Thersens for my daughter back in 2018. I was contacted over a year after we had discontinued service as they said they were auditing their accounts and saw I had a large balance. I'm talking like over a thousand dollars. Not sure what happened but I am livid as I always pay my bills at time of visit and was completely caught off guard by such a large bill. I should add I still have yet to receive anything in writing it has only been verbal phone notification on two separate occasions now. I'm assuming their staff never billed my insurance and thus told me I had no deductible and once it was finally submitted they realized I should have been paying a deductible and patient portion all along. This is completely unacceptable. The second representative claimed my insurance took a very long time to pay and so they were unaware I owed a balance- sounds almost convincing except I know how well my insurance is about paying claims timely and I have never had an issue anywhere else. I do however see a pattern based on reviews of Therasens for doing this to other patients. Now it is almost 2022 and I just received a second phone call threatening to send me to collections. Out of principle I will not pay this bill (even though I have excellent credit) I will be disputing it as soon as I am notified of anything in writing. We loved Gemma which is why I continued to use her even though towards the end of treatment it really did not seem necessary. Had I known we were being charged $60 a visit I would not have continued service as long as we did."
